The stones can be tested to see what type of material was used to carve the characters in the stones. Obviously a lot of the copper was given chemical baths. But the stones that have engraving on them do not seem to have ANY weathering what-so-ever. You can tell by the sharp contrast between the engraven areas, and the non-engraven areas. It's white on black.

Carbon dating can oonly be done on carbon. Slate, copper, etc cannot be. Carter discovered King Tut's tomb with copper knives, with heiroglyphics, dating 3,000 years ago, with absolutely no "erosion". Copper develops a patina on the surface and the patina on these artifacts in the film testify to their authenticity to anyone who is educated in metallurgy.
I've seen the Tut artifacts on Discovery, and they certainly did not look like these.

A few of them that I have read, specifically about Michigan artifacts say "while the cave can not be found", or "until it is allowed to be inspected by professionals", etc. Meaning, that the stories have been circulated, and some artifacts have been revealed. the tablets appear to be fake, There is very little patina on the slate tablets and the fact that there is no mistakes on any of the tablets you presented should be an indicator something is wrong. The stones can be tested to see what type of material was used to carve the characters in the stones. If you are serious about presenting this as genuine artifacts then get them authenticated by a professional.

No. They are all from Michigan. You need to read "The Mystic Symbol" (i.e. the five spikes or nails, representing those driven into the body of Jesus) by Helen Mertz who was ass't to Sec Cordell Hull, during FDR admnin. She did an elegant linguistic analysis of the language on the plates. The mystic symbol is on every artifact (30.000).

I would pay to see that :) certianly would not find it any less weird than what is said here... the slate 'artefacts' do not number 30,000, so only these need faked. The rest are real, but from all over the place.. I recognise items from many different periods and places. Why so aggressive ? You don't have to be rude to put over a point - those that shout the loudest have the least to say..

I notice how absolutely little detail was given to weathering the engraving on most of the materials.
Obviously a lot of the copper was given chemical baths. But the stones that have engraving on them do not seem to have ANY weathering what-so-ever. You can tell by the sharp contrast between the engraven areas, and the non-engraven areas. It's white on black.
Some of them may very well be real artifacts, that someone dug up and then engraved stuff on..

I have no doubt that these things are real and many more. these people defnately knew about the old test and christ. we dont know how many times the lord has lead his children out into the world? Relating to the BOM i strongly feel that measoamerica still fits those people in that book! check out the new video by byu and lds arcalogical foundation from 2007. they are mostly all convinced that the "BOM" Happened in mesoamerica as i. this is very interesting and the great lakes people knew god!

Carbon dating can oonly be done on carbon. Slate, copper, etc cannot be. Hearth fires associated with 3000 open pit copper mines in upper peninsula of Michigan, have been carbon dated to circa 2250 BC, the date of the tower of Babel. Josephus in Bk 1 speaks of colonies in America. Book of Mormon testifies of a family led out from the Tower of Babel to America.

The point has been made about the etching in the rocks.
That is the most significant to me. There is no erosion what-so-ever. It's like the tablets were etched recently.
The copper would have far more erosion than just some fire/heat damage. The copper is obviously phony.
This reminds me of the Kinderhook plates.

Carter discovered King Tut's tomb with copper knives, with heiroglyphics, dating 3,000 years ago, with absolutely no "erosion". Copper develops a patina on the surface and the patina on these artifacts in the film testify to their authenticity to anyone who is educated in metallurgy.

I've seen the Tut artifacts on Discovery, and they certainly did not look like these.
Carbon date them, and I have a feeling that the results will come back for between 50-500 years ago somewhere. 500 is a huge stretch, but I'll give the collector the benefit of the doubt.

And the articles that I have read thus far have not mentioned carbon dating. A few of them that I have read, specifically about Michigan artifacts say "while the cave can not be found", or "until it is allowed to be inspected by professionals", etc. Meaning, that the stories have been circulated, and some artifacts have been revealed. But nothing has been done to authenticate any of these stories.

So what is the conclusion? Archaeology has taken a wrong turn and drawn an improper conclusion from a loose collection of facts (fossils in the ground, for instance). The explanation is that the earth was made desolate by a mighty convulsion, hence the fossils, and then a perfect man and woman and plants and animals were brought here and transplaneted from an older earth 6000 years ago. Fossils, we are not "descended" from them, but are remnants of a former creation.

Murphy, who is a leading Mormon Anthropologist, who is now in question of his faith. Dr. Simon Southerton who is a Molecular Biologist and former LDS Bishop - he voluntarily stepped down from his Church position because the evidence against the authenticity of the Book Of Mormon was over whelming.

They are not fakes because 30 collections have surfaced, one with 30,000 artifacts alone. Cliff faces on the Ohio River have the same mystic symbol carved which riverboat captains have known about for over a hundred years. Also the published affidavits of eyewitnesses to some of the discoveries (Rudolph Etzenhouser, for instance) convince everyone but bigots.
