@60829 It could be, but there's a few things I do to keep from frying things… I never wear a static-y shirt when I'm working on computers, and I aim to handle PCBs by the edges so that I'm not in contact with anything sensitive to electricity. In all honesty, you should use an anti-static mat and a grounded wrist strap, but if you're paying attention to your static and how you're handling boards, you probably won't have an issue. You could also plug in the power supply and ground to that…
@gustyxatoru Both songs are from Ratatat; I'd suggest just grabbing either their "Classics" album and/or their self titled album and listening to it all!
@xyrax16 The front pulls off; it's 4 plastic latches. Just apply slow, firm pressure and it will come off. The drive panels come off from behind that with two plastic latches.
@SpectraLzz I'm pretty happy with the VS-9. I did have to modify the side panels, though; They are a bit too secure, to the point I broke off one of the (admittedly flimsy) plastic handles. The quick release drive bays have a little play too, but you don't have to use them.
isnt static an issue if your building it on the carpet?
