  • @randumbuller No 95 is still the 2v 5.0, in 96 they switched to the 4.6 DOHC 4v. Main reason I know is I have a 96 SVT and my friend has a 95 SVT. lol

  • @kioussis the 1995 cobra's are ok but the GT's arnt that good. HP wise. I owned a 1995 cobra. currently own a 1996 cobra. looks and runs just like a 1998 cobra. no real big difference.

  • what stuntrider 15 has said is true, the 1st ever cobra's were lates 60's then in mid 70's there was a shit thing named a mustang 2 and there was a cobra version of that but that is not really a mustang, 93 was the 1st year svt cobra, i think what stuntrider 15 meant that in 93 it was the first ever svt product. they used to be called svo but that changed in 93

  • just to clear up a lot of idiots comments, the 93 of a cobra since the late 60's it had a 225hp 4.9L V8 dubbed a 5.0 but 302 is not equal to 5 liters go look it up a true mustang owner knows this i have had 2 foxbodys, it becomes a 5.0 at 306ci, the cobra was then continued from 93-01 nothing happened in 2002 then it came back in 2003-2004. it has since been replaced by the shelby GT500 wich still wheres the cobra emblem. this is every year svt cobra, 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 00 01 03 04.

  • read the comment it says the cobra was continued from 93-01 then in 2002 nothing happened the 2003 it made a comeback lasted till 04, then from 05-06 there was concepts and then finally in 07 it came back, 2007 GT500. what i'm saying is that in 02 and then again in 05 and 06 there was no cobra, dude.....its not that hard to understand........

    This style is the SN-95 style, made from 94-98. 96-04 started the DOHC Modular motors, and 93-95 had the pushrod 5.0's

  • Yea they made them in 98 I own a 98 and a 94. Ford didnt make one for 99 and in 2000 they made the Cobra R which only 400 where built. 2001 they made the cobra but Ford was so pissed at the SVT team that they cancelled the the Cobra for the 2002 year and in 03 they came out with the new cobra that waxed almost anything you put it up against and with only a few tweaks with the 03 and 04 cobra you could have it pushin over 500 horses easy. Hope that answers your ?

  • that did thank you, but iam pretty sure, ford made a 99 cobra but was pretty bad, so they stopped in 2000, then came back with the 2001 that was similar to 99 but fixing the HP loss. then dont know the story untill 03 when they came up with GOD, which is my dream car

  • Well it hit over 7k a couple times on the rev limiter. and flowmasters? not a chance. Flowmasters are Fin JUNK. we put a flowmaster kit on a friends mustang and it fit like shit it was bad we didnt even end up using it. we used the tailpipes and cut the rest apart and welded in some race bullets. Bassani is where its at. the fit is always perfect. stainless flat clamps. sounds by for the best on modular motors.

  • flowmaster does sound good like with a 350 but if i had a mustang then bassani all the way.

  • when a car is boosting, if you remove the rev limiter and and rev it out any over what the limiter was set at the forced air will EASILY bend a pushrod or send the pistons through the oil pan....can you say EXPENSIVE REBUILD, but this cobra looks as if the owner is not an idiot and would'nt do something that stupid

  • If the motor has been forged with good parts and dynod, the rev limiter can be raised substantially or even removed though I wouldnt recommend that. It will take 9000rpms...so they may not be wrong about that prediction. Stock I think it wouldve popped doing a burnout out like this.

  • my twin turbo mustang gt turns over 9k. it has billet I-beam rods, billet reduced diameter crank, billet aluminum pistons and a main support girdle. solid cylinder deck with o-ring machined heads. 9000 rpms is VERY do-able with these engines. it'll just cost you a lot. just the rotating assembly in my 4.6 cost $6,000. after all the machine work and the turbos I have about $18,000 into it.
