how is religion the basis of our law? Is it illegal to work on the sabath or commit adultery? If the Bible was our legal guide then incest (Lot's daughters) slavery, and a whole series of arbitrary menstration, sacrificial and dietary taboos would become legislation. Our founding fathers saw what theocracy brought and wanted no part of it. Look at examples of theocracy, Afganistan under the Taliban, Iran, Salem circa 1600, Spain during the Inquisition. We can and we must totally abolish the Democrat Party. The Constitution does specifically forbid the Democrat socialist slavery agenda. Article 4 Section 4 states clearly "The United States shall guarantee to EVERY State in the Union a Republican form of Government." Republicanism is the policy that defeated Democrat Party slavery in the South. Now they inflict another form of socialism, poverty.

In the context of the constitution, "Republican" means we elect representatives (as opposed to a Democratic form where everybody votes), it doesn't mean the GOP.

The Republicans that defeated slavery (and voted for civil rights in the 60's) were liberal Republicans opposing conservative southern Democrats. Nothing remotely close to the ideology of today's parties.
