Luckily when PC was CGA,most games were converted from C64, so us C64 owners played them in 16 colours with SID sound, which PC only managed with EGA and a soundcard of some type!

lol you need to adjust your sights earlier in the game at the firing range, until you get points. Then you will shoot close enough to him to scare him away...

It was about 15 years when I first played the game too. I couldn't get past the Cove either for hmmm... about a year, but after about 100 attempts at running away instead of firing, I managed to escape alive! And then I discovered adjusting the sights and felt really silly I'd not done it sooner.

I love the game. I try and play it every couple of years for nostalgia reasons.

Cool review man, enjoyed it. Favorite game, so much in fact that I'm remaking it (or rather, re-envisioning it, we'll say...lots of additions to it) in adventure game studio.

yeah I played Police quest 3 myself when I was very young and shortly afterwards I became hooked onto point and click adventure games. never was a big fan of the older PQ games and even the KQ or space quest games. (hated typing)

i remember this game, one of the first adventure games I played, I got stuck on when I had to chase banes as I didn't have my gun sighted right and still haven't figured it out. The game looks better on youtube, probably due to the resolution though.
