The Daytona Coupe is without doubt my favourite muscle car, I hope one day to have a replica, I know it's not the same as having an original but they cost stupid money considering there was only a handful made.
Also I would love to have a Dodge Challenger in white with a 440 'Six Pack'.
@kirkconway Right Kirk ~ I must have done it a thousand times! Won the race, too! (Pocketa-Pocketa). The original 289 Cobra with 4 DCOE-45 downdraft Webers and good cam was rated @371bhp. With a single 4Bbl it had a power-to-weight ratio of 10:1, making it the first *PRODUCTION* car capable of 0-60 in 6 seconds. That set industry standards back in the day. I was in highschool AutoMech class and drooled over these cars when they 1st came out. Watched them race against GTO Ferrari and Vettes.
probably but for me it's a 3.5l or bigest so 289 cubic inches or 427 cubic inches it don't mean anything for me.i know that 427 mean more than 7l or 7000 cubic cm so if you say it's a 289 i say it's a good big american v8.:)
289 is my very close second favorite to the chevy 327

Amen to that! And why would you want an original, you couldn't drive it anywhere. You'd be too afraid to wreck your 10 million dollar car.
