The audio for this tribute was "Ripple" but it was removed due to audio copyrights about a year ago. I checked out your video. You put together a nice tribute. Well Done! I hope the powers to be don't remove the song from your vid.
The audio was "Ripple" but due to YT the audio was removed after being posted for over 2 years. Its a shame really because the song went nicely with the photos. Just another example of Google dismantling YouTube bit by bit.
I wondered why it was a "silent" video. Too bad, was it because of copyrights? I just put the CD on and added my own music. Really nice photos. Thanks.
hey any one know where i can get a hold of a cartoon where an angel leads Jerry through the pearly gates saying, "up here we're all grateful dead."????????
I am sorry to hear that, wonder about all the other videos with musicians. I have watched yours dozens of times and it always made me feel closer to my son. We played Ripple at his memorial service.
PatongTed,Thank you for your fine work on a beautiful song.I was looking for one with good audio quality and a video that would help a friend of mine in Turkey hear the beauty in the message. This is perfect.
PatongTed,It's funny,I've been a musician for over 30 years and for some reason I never paid much attention to the Dead.A few nights ago my son and I were watching VH1 on the Dead.I heard this, and box of rain and was blown away.Such powerful feelings.Better late than never I guess. :)
Thank you for doing this touching tribute. My 51 year old son Randy passed away on October 29th this year. He was such a longtime Grateful Dead fan. I think he must be out there somewhere jamming with Jerry, Keith, Brent and Pigpen.
I have been making videos for over a year now and your comment is most precious I have ever received. Your son is up there smiling down on you! May Randy live forever in our hearts through the music of the Grateful Dead. Peace and Love!~TED ♫ ♪ ♪ ♫
I just di my own Tribute using Ripple but you beat me hands down. The progression was great and all the smiles were the bomb... I just Learned how to make the damn videos and it took me over 2 hours. I had to find all my photo disks, etc... I plan to do more and to get better so keep watching..
Thanks RatDog67! This was one of the first videos I created as well. I use Muvee AutoProducer6 now instead of Windows Movie Maker to create videos. Big difference! I checked out your vid. You are on your way man! Keep at it. I will be checking out some of your new material. Peace-Ted
I know what you mean omast! I attended 37 Grateful Dead shows from 1976 to 1995. That's not much compared to some of my friends who attended 100's of shows. The last show I went to was at at Chicago's Soldier Field on July 9, 1995. (It was their last show as well.)
I was camping in The Indiana DunesSate Park that week.
The overflow of "fans" from the Chigago concert found their way there and, so help me, you could get a contact-high just walking around the park. One fellow asked me to point him to the lake because "man I need a bath" and another one "Awesome. man...it's totally light" This was at noon time. You guys must have had hell of a concert. Wish I'd been there.
I camped at the Indiana Dunes State Park in 1970 when I was 10 on a family trip. I will never forget the rain storm and flood that moved our tent over 100 yards while we slept through it all. HAHAHAAHA!! Peace--Ted

My Dad is now deceased... but this song was his favorite. So it has a special place for me. Thanks so much !!! He used to always say "hey Jim, play that country one"... I know it's not really country, but he was old. Ripple on Jerry...

To combat the removal of the chosen audio track I just mute the current selection and play a JGB version of "Forever Young". It seems fitting enough.
