I hope you read this. my father played basketball at UNC Wilmington in the 70s and would tell me storys about going to a bar that your band performed at each week. I think you all may have hung out some during those times. He always loved your music and followed your career and since he has passed my brother & I will too. Wish Delbert and Leroy would do Feel Like Coming Home; That song would be awesome with the two of them. The Notting Hillbillies with Mark Knoefler do a fantastic job with it. Written by Charlie Rich who sings and plays it beautifully. But it would be really beautiful, I think, with Delbert and Leroy. So, if you're reading this post guys, please do this song!!!

Delbert is one of the best Blues singers I ever heard plus he plays a marvelous harmonica...a real pro player who has dubbed in on a lot of other peoples albums. Texas was blessed when he was born.

Delberts main Sax man, "the Snake" , real name Don Wise is a killer player...he worked with our band back in Okc, Okla and we were so very thrilled when Delbert hired him way back when...I think it was maybe late 70s or very early 80s. On top of being such a talent on sax, Don was just a super nice cat.

Don has his own recording career as well...not sure if he has any videos on here though.

You get about 2 mistakes if they are minor. Then he calls you out. I know former band vet & he was sent charts after Dbert heard him in studio. He studied the charts. His 1st gig Austin City Limits in 86? He got there and 1 song they did was in the charts. talk about being thrown in the deep end but he did great 22 years.
