Congrats on a marvelous career, Glen! We were both teenagers in Albuquerque when you were playing and singing with your uncle's band at your uncle's club out in Tijeras canyon in the Sandia mountains. I fell in love with your talent, and I went out there every weekend with my girl. We danced often, but more often just sat and listened. Of course you, me and my girl were too young to be working at or drinking (even Cokes!) at a bar/nightclub then, but no one ever hassled us. I'm a fan-for-life!
From Delight Arkansas. to Cali. To the beach boys. To John Wayne, To your own T.V. show. To Elvis. To Tanya Tucker. To sobering up. To hollywood. To Jerry reed. To Johnny Cash. Mr Glen Campbell You sir have done it all . One of the last men standing. You make the State of Arkansas very proud. I am from Malvern Ar and your ours and we love you, May every night be a "Southern Night"..What a ride, My hats off to you. God Bless from TEXAS!!
Well, who knows if Glen will read this but just in case he does:

Glen, Thank you for your hard work and inspiration. You seem so pleasant, down to earth, and sincere. May God bless you, your beautiful wife and family .... from one guitar player to another!
Glen had a unique soaring voice, like a glider. Unique, timeless He coud also become a classique bariton singer. I am from Bavaria, Germany, bought his LP "Glen Campbell Anne Murray" about 1980 - since then I am a fan of Glen. Unique talented. And worldwide underestimated. He is as good as Placido Domingo and all that classic men - but he never was recognised that good.
I doubt Glen Campbell will ever read this; but I nevertheless want to at least make this small gesture, telling him that his music - and above all his bold and humble faith - have meant more to me that I could ever articulate.
Thank you, my brother, and I am comfortable that you will reap according to what you have sown for Him, precisely as He promised us.
I saw Glenn last night at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Scotland, on his Goodbye Tour.
I was in awe of his talent, he leaves a great legacy to the world and I won't ever forget him.
I met his family afterwards and they were so lovely and well mannered, that Glenn must be proud of them, and of their undoubted musical talent as well.
Glen I saw you and your talented band last week in Castlebar Ireland !!!! God bless you and thank God for letting me see you and hear you. Legendary show. There was a lot of love there for you that night, take care brother.

It breaks my heart, but thank God for all of the wonderful years we've shared your music. My husband and I are about your age so we understand how heartbreaking that can be. We'll have your music to enjoy forever. Thank you for all of the wonderful music!
I cant wait to see him when he comes to Dublin. 3 generations of my family have fallen in love with his music. He is an amazing man, who makes even more amazing music.
What a wonderful person. Had the magical honour of seeing one of his concerts last month...truly an experience which will live in my heart aways...thank you for sharing your gift of music with the world...
Love these songs on the new album "Ghost On The Canvas". It touched me in a special way having a mom with dementia who passed here in August. Please listen and understand dementia and alzheimers with the wonderful words Glen has used in these songs. Bless you and know you are in my prayers.
Man, what courage to share this with the public. He is an incredible human being that has helped shape American Music with his voice and his guitar playing. Did you know he played as a session guitarist on the Champs tune, Tequila?

Thank you for sharing. My mom, a retired nurse, (and my hero), now has Alzheimers. I especially love your songs Try a Little Kindness, and I Wanna Live. :-) Keep singing!
So sad to think that this master will no doubt lose his guitar abilities and many of his fondest memories. I hope your last years are filled with joy Glen, despite the pain you will no doubt feel.
"It aint bothering me any"...keep on not letting it bother you Glen.As long as you can pick up that ovation and move us you will be ok.Aint nothin can stop an Arkansas boy...One of the greatest guitar players of our time.I got a feelin you gonna be ok
Such a gifted wonderful man, his music and words make me cry. Its good to know he has the great love of his family. Keep on going glen and god go with you. xx
I heard almost all his songs in my childhood days. We even have his TV programes back then and would never miss watching them. He has got the country voice that blend so well. Read that he went alcholic few years back. Hope he got out of that. Alas, age catches up and as mortal beings we all shall leave one day. I wish him well and hope to hear him sing live that infamous song, "Honey come back".
My father recently died from Alzheimers, this is such a cruel disease especially for someone with so much talent, my thoughts are with you and you family
What a wonderful guy for sure! All the talent he has ran along with over the past 5 decades is incredible! Jerry Reed, Roger Miller, Johnny Cash, The Beach Boys just to name a few. I have so enjoyed watching as many great videos of Glenn on youtube as I can find. I wish the best to Mr. Campbell and the road ahead, the main road searchin' in the sun for another overload, God Bless and take care....
I have been a fan of this legend since I was a young boy in the 60's. I never missed his Goodtime Hour and have seen him live several times. My greatest thrill was meeting and talking with Glen many times when I worked for Ping Golf in Phoenix in the early 2000's. He is an unbelievably nice man. You would never know he is a superstar; so down to earth and humble. When I learned about his situation, I cried like a baby. May God comfort Glen and his loved ones for, hopefully, many years to come.
My thoughts are with you and your family, enjoy today and live for today. You are amazing and my favorite longtime artist. Good luck Mr Campbell xx May god look down on you always
An American icon who's commercial success overshadowed what an amazing musician he is. Hard living at times in his life, but a generous, self effacing, humble, gracious, individual. He has given us a lifetime of memories and our best wishes and prayers follow him as he rides into the twilight of a wonderful life and an extraordinary career.
He does have a good attitude about it all, looks like he has great support from his wife..and it is great that he is going to do one last tour, for him as well as his many fans. Godspeed, Mr. Campbell!
I am such a fan of Glen. But I cannot understand why he had a facelift. Why oh why do you Americans do this to your faces? Face lifts on old men..it just looks stupid. And Kim....you have no nose left you have had so much shaved off it.
my mum is sufering from the illness .. it breaks my heart wen i go to see her , and know wot she was like 10 years ago . god bless my mum , and to you to glen .... u av given so much pleasure with ur music .... its just a river of tears .
I saw Mr Campbell perform once..fairrly recently, in 2000 or 2001..in Clearwater FL and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Mr Campbell, from a kid growing up in the 60's and telling my father when a song of yours came on the radio to "make that louder", you have given me and the whole world endless enjoyment with your music and presence. God Bless and take care of you
So many people suffer with all diffrent illness in life ,i cant imagine what you are feeling but i love your new aalbum god bless you and your music and hope people take notice of your courage true man xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
God Bless yu Glen. I love your music and can see that you've given happiness to so many people. I love you and will always love you and your music. just hope that I can see you on your farewell tour if I can be so lucky. God Speed.
Mr. Glen Campbell, you are one gifted, super talented and tremendous singer and instrumentalist. From Delight, AR to LA, CA to Nashville and so many places beyond. From top-flite session man to recording artist to headlining entertainer, you are the best - God Bless You.
Mr. Campbell, you are a true icon, I can't tell you how much your voice and guitar playing has meant to me in my life. I watched True Grit at least 13 times and cried every time you died. My Mom was soooooooo happy that I was nuts over you and not the Beatles like my sister did. God bless you
Listened to Glen all my life. I remember a concert LP my father had in 1970.... His music influenced my style in many ways...... Brilliant guy.... My thoughts are with him.....
Listened to you Glen all my life and your style has influenced me along.... So sorry to hear of your illness.... My thoughts are with you....... Martin.
Saw Glen Campbell and his very versatile and talented band (including his children!) perform at the CNE Bandstand in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday August 31. Simply still an outstanding and wonderful singer after all these years. Not only was it great to see Mr. Campbell perform live but also to see the audience show their appreciation for all the wonderful music he has given us all over the years.
Wishing you all the best Life has to offer, Mr. Campbell.
Glenn, my friend, get checked out for Chronic Lyme Disease.
I listened to your interview this morning on NPR and just watched this and listened to your album and I'm positive you don't have Alzheimer's. You are waayyy to coherent and can remember waaayyy to many lyrics to have OldTimer's disease. Seriously!
Lyme mimics most of the symptoms but you can get rid of it with antibiotics.

I'm an old prog-rocker and I have nothing but respect for Glen Campbell. I have a compilation of his older material, Galveston, Witchita Lineman, Rhinestone Cowboy etc... and many might not know it, because he never really shred out on his albums, but he was an amazing guitarist. Some of you might recall the night he traded jazz kicks with George Benson on Midnight Special. Left a great legacy of music.
lots of very good, talented everyday people have been affected by this disease...my mom included at age 59, for 7 very long yrs watching her fade away, until she finally did oct. 21, 2009. God Bless Glen and his family give his wife and children the strength during his illness. Its tough, really tough to watch your love one fade away, while you watch them decline.
God bless Glen!

Love your incredible guitar licks
