Why not just shoot the animal cleanly when you first see it. I only hunt with my gramps when i go to texas, and only dear for venison. however, if we see a fucking hog, we will blow its head off. they are not native to u.s., they multiply like crazy, they are responsible for 2-3 human deaths A YEAR! they trample through and eat everything in sight and destroy the land, they kill calves, coyotes, dogs and sheep and anything else that gets in their way. they grow up to 500 pounds. stfu.

Hunters vermin?
I dont like hunting, in my opinion a lot of animals die everyday so we can have meat on table.
But there is a lot of people that likes to hunt and kill his own meat, and thats ok.
Actually hunters love nature, and are the first that cares for it and hate pollution and the things we are doing to nature.
What i dont like, i dont respect or aprove is the hunting of bears, lions, that kind of animals, if it isnt in self defense.
Killing and eating, its ok in my opinion.

I'm an old hippie....and a hunter.I'll hunt any of the hundereds of species of hooved animals nature put on earth for us to use as food.I will NOT shoot or kill (unless a human life,or my dogs is in danger)any predator like bears,coyotes,wolves,cougars,ect. I WILL kill wild hogs every chance I get.They have overbred and pose a great threat to the balance of nature.They are destroying the food supply to not only wild animals in this country but also humans.And.... they are mighty tastey. ;~)>

@BigDieselFarmer54 Sir,a close friend of mine lives in Star Valley Wyoming.He has a contract with the Feds to feed Elk herds,moose,and deer every winter so they don't starve.He's been doing this for over 15 years.That tells me wolves have a minimal impact on elk and moose.Nature put a handful of predators here to balance the population of hundereds of hooved species.Only humans think they can control nature.Also,scientific study has proven the main diet of wolves and coyotes are....field mice.

Just one effect of the wild boar on our ecosystem. Wild boar eat rabbits, over 40 species live off rabbits in the zone i live. Including some beautiful birds. Now they are no more just because of wild boar (and myxomatosis off course). And i could go on for a while about crops, truffles and rare trees but i think the hippies get the point now.

It's amazing that people will whine about other people killing animals on youtube while their fat ass is probably eating a mcdonalds cheeseburger.
It's virtually impossible to treat an animal worse in the wild when hunting than they are in slaughterhouses. If anything, Hunters should get extra credit for being the few people who dispatch animals for consumption as clean/fast as possible.

I see the shows on TV where the hunter chases the hog down with dogs and body armor and ties the animal down before killing it. Why is that neccesary? Why not just shoot the animal cleanly when you first see it. I'm not making a social commentary or anything, i'm really curious, seems like it be easier to just bait, or sneak up on the animal and do it in with a high caliber rifle or something.

But some people don't realize that humans have decimated natural predators and introduced non- native animals that breed in staggering numbers. The way i see it along with many others is that hunters are now necessary to control populations of certain species.

@rickfakkitup Pigs in particular, what is so sad is that even hunters with dogs are having a tough time. Pigs today sometimes run all night and never corner. And pig numbers keep going up, yet fish and game still want you to pay them in order to hunt a pig! What? They claim they want to help manage a resource, but this is one game that ought to be open season, at least for now, and in many areas.
