I'm definitely going to have to start soaking. I've tried a lot of food. The sinking tetra colour pellets were great for when my parrots were young. What brand pellets are you using? They look like omega.

@pfsshufflecrew parrot fish are cichlids, they are a hybrid of the Red Devil Cichlid and the Gold Severum Cichlid. Both of these are tropical fish so the Blood Parrot Cichlid also need tropical temperatures. A temperature or high 70's to low 80's is needed for a parrot cichlid. Goldfish are cool water fish and do much better in temperatures in the 60's. Goldfish generally dont mix well with cichlids because they require different water parameters and most cichlids are much more aggressive

@Randomness0014 Not in a 45 gallon like this lol, the oscar in this vid got moved to a 75 gallon tank. for one adult oscar you need at least 55 gallons but 75 is a very nice size for 1 adult and a few smaller tankmates (but not small enough for the oscar to eat)

i feed my cichlid and albino oscer Guppies And they love them they eat 20 in less than 5 min. try giving them guppies they are better for the fishes thats how they do in their habbitad.

do you have territory issues with your fish? cause i keep getting told that if you add more than 3 cichlids in a 55g tank and when they are fully grown, you get lots of territorial issues

@maxima423 well it totally depends on what species of cichlids your keeping. There are over 2000 species of cichlids on the planet, and not all of them are territorial and aggressive. the fish in this video were moved into a 75 gallon tank, and i recently changed the 75 gallon tank into an African Cichlid Mbuna tank. the African Mbunas are very aggressive fish

@maxima423 yes deffinatly, because the jack dempsey needs a 55 alone. but without the jd u would be fine.i have a firemouth, a black convict and 4 pink convicts and they get along pretty well

@DuhhDogsRule14 thanks :) yeah this tank was pretty cool but its a very old video. Back in october of 2009, i upgraded all these fish into a 75 gallon tank. And about 2 months ago i changed the 75 gallon tank into an African Malawi Cichlid tank, but i dont have any vids of the african tank yet, but check out some of the vids of the 75 gallon that i have up!

yes i find that it keeps their colors really bright hikari is a great brand i recommend them for their various pellets and sinking wafer stuff and their frozen/frieze dried bloodworms tubifex worms ect.

i no longer have this tank running, i upgraded to a 75 gallon tank back in october, and sadly oscar is no longer with us. When he was about 7 inches, he tried swallowing a smaller pleco while i was at school and the pleco's spines got stuck deep in his throat. i tried to do everything i could to help him but in the end, neither fish survived :( we all really miss him. Please check out my new video's of the 75 gallon on my channel, quite a lot has changed

yeah you have probably seen the new vid of the 75 gallon and its really nice i like how it came out. And also yes thats a good decision on your part to not add a BP with your oscar in a 55. both of these fish produce a lot of waste so just having your oscar in the 55 will keep him healthier
