I'd be paranoid about that situation because no adult should ask a child to go with them anywhere when they don't know the child. Why that guy even asked Brother is beyond me.
I would've been worried about the situation also. The whole "driving in the car" could've always been a ploy to get Brother Bear in the car to the man's house, and anything could happen. Even so, that may not be the case, but it's best to think twice.
That was very smart of sister to stop brother from going with that stranger.I couldn't believe he wasn't being careful like he was when he telling sister that talking to strangers wasn't good.
ive never been afraid of strangers. my mom has some influence in my town, and people who i don't know come up to me all the time and start going on and on about things like how much ive grown, or how i look so much like my mom, do i remember them... they just keep going. it never bothers me. not all strangers are bad. u just figure out how to handle them.
I don't really want to start a religion war...But in my opinion... Anyone can believe whatever they want as long as their views or practices don't harm anyone. It would be better if people didn't force their religion on someone else too.
I think that makes sense...
I better stop talking now. Religion is very confusing. XD
My mom is kinda that way, well shes also religious, my mom is now all crazy over me about saying that I'm an atheist now, but I'm 27 years old I got my own life and I dont wont to give up my autonomy, freethinking skills and ratinal scientific ideals to be "saved" because thats what the traditinal christian theology says.
To be "saved" is relatively new. Catholics and Lutherans and nearly all the Christian religions do not have the concept of being "saved". Many of the recent religions in the US south started by being a kind of rebelious against the then "traditional" religions. These southern churches, the Baptists being one, preached the idea of being saved with the idea that the churches before them were damning the souls of their church-goers to hell, so their souls had to be "saved"- at THEIR church.
@bobbysprayer Hey, I just needed to say that I am a Fundamental Baptist and we do not teach that you can only be saved at our church. Being saved has nothing to do with going to church. Being saved is the concept that you recognize you are a sinner and that Jesus came to Earth as a man, did no wrong and died and rose again in three days.
@bobbysprayer We believe he is the Messiah, G-d's son, and that we can not get to heaven but through him by asking him to forgive us and to save us. In short we believe, Jesus saves us from Hell, not church, but church is important.
@pbrskater26 I don't know who told you that, but being saved does not mean you are stripped of free will. You still can think freely and rationally, I know because I am saved and I still think rationally. I hear what people have to say and then a verify what they said through thorough study, and research.
@vgmew128 I most certainly agree. Maybe some school teachers should see the light and understand that not all students are troublemakers. It's ridiculous of certain teachers to punish everyone for the behavior of a few bad apples. It's also weird to institute a new rule or policy that makes all students and youngsters look like they're going to do something stupid. For one thing, it's just a big cop-out to punish the whole population.
