  • Thanks for this!

  • Even as Fox 5, WNE/WNYW still ruled, for Fox wasn't a full fledged network then.

  • Wow, well that didn't render well. Anyways, yeah, all that stuff, and I still miss the Drive In Movie on WNEW for your Saturday afternoon kung fu fix!

  • NACME ad was from WPIX. Jerry O Connell in first shot of Oreo ad. After Raisin Bran, Episode "Loch Ness Mess" from Dennis The Menace Way too many numbers in that Party Line ad, could have added "VSN" to "411" there ;) Apex is a classic NYC ad WWPR went back to WPLJ in 1988, and 105.1 FM now uses WWPR in NYC Drive In Movie went away in the late 80s on WNEW :( MICHAEL WINSLOW FROM GENERATION YM! Regina was a one-hit wonder in 1986 Still don't remember WPIX *9* O Clock Movie WWPR lasted until
  • @DanZero77 - Mr. Winslow also appeared in Mel Brooks' "Spaceballs." But as for the bumper V/O between the Mr. Goodbuys ad and "McCreary Report" bumper, that was Chuck Caron. In addition, at least one other Metromedia/later Fox station, WFLD in Chicago, used the "Drive-In Movie" title, logo and theme music.

  • @DanZero77 This was around the time Hill Street Blues was on at 8pm.

  • @RetroSurferNews Right, I saw that it was done for about a year as they moved Independent Network News (then called USA Tonight) to 11:00pm. TVNutboy posted ad breaks advertising Hill Street Blues starting at 8:00 starting in 1987, then the 9 O Clock movie. It proved to be an unpopular move for WPIX and the movie was quickly moved back to 8:00.

  • thank you for this video ***** 5 stars!
