this song is awesome gives me goosebumps also queen rules as they did the airways for a lomng time hit after hit after hit rip freddy we love ya and miss u always
It does make me chuckle seeing posts on here from people asking if Queen are British, i mean there are a few clues to a possible English background for the band, like being named after a member of the monarchy, and having their lead guitarist perform the English national anthem to the royal family from the top of a royal palace is a relatively well known stunt they pulled. Although Freddie i believe was originally from Zanzibar, with British citizenship later.
hehe, i was unfortunate enough to be born waaay after the days of queen. oh well, I can still enjoy the music on my own or as it occasionally appears on radio.
I as a kid, I was raised on all kinds of 80's music. I'm 17 now and my taste in music is mainly stuff thats 10-30 years old.
@BlackMetalWarewolf Similar story for me actually, i still catch up on some 80's tracks now and again, but in all honesty my musical preferences have varied since, from Meatloaf, ACDC and Queen to Dean Martin, Sinatra and Jay Hawkins. I think my choices do go back a little further than 30 years on the latter examples but still, i'd rather listen to Bat out of hell or Thats life than bleat along with all the brainwashed sheep that think that Disney backed Bieber/Cyrus crap is music.
@santillica yes he was...he was of persian faith/origin but his family were british citizens working in india for the government...freddie was as british as i am...
Don't you hate it when this is played on the radio and the Dj starts talkin shit over the guitar solo at the end....drives me nuts, ive got my air guitar in my hand and then...........comin up is travel with zoe!! twats
saw a documentary on a military percision flying team "The Blue Angels" and to one of their taped airial performances they played it's a kind a magic...
I grew up with your music Freddie, you touched so many hearts and gave us all the gift of your fantastic voice. I hope you are singing with the angels...

This song has a special place in my heart. As a family we chose to play this song at the funeral of my father in 2007. It gives me goosebumps.
He used to play this song in his car, volume out loud, and than tap his hands on the beat on the steeringwheel and sing along. Glad to see to many enjoy it too. :)
sorry to hear about your dad .....Queen has a special place in their heart to many people, and i think Freddie was one of the greatest singers of all time RIP
This song reminds me of when I was last in London a month ago and I was on the long drive to Heathrow to fly home to NY and this came on the radio as we were driving through Clapham/Wandsworth.
i love this song last year i went on a cruise ship to alaska and i would listen to this song like 10 times a day and whenever i hear this song i remember alaska and our boat which i loved the Norwegian Pearl... so i love this song
