I think we are witnessing the gypsy culture during a major transition. In the last 20 years they have been exposed to a "modern" lifestyle which is directly influencing their culture. Give it another 20 or so years and I bet these views of women slowly chip away, whether the men agree or not.

I think this show is very good, because you canr eally dive in to what they do. I don´t know if you necessarily see everything, but I think the shwo gives a very good overview of them, of the things you are startled by at first and also of the things you understand, where you feel with them

I have to ask......what is the point of living in a caravan if their travel is so restricted now? Although I suppose the same could be asked of someone living in a trailer in the US - cheap home to buy. @jules4456 .....yes i saw those episodes...he supposedly cleans up old cars and trades horses, his residuals from these videos amount to no more than $100.00 monthly...all this adds up to an extra $10K annually...the trade in value of a used audi is about half retail, so there is no way he can legitimately afford those vehicles, new furniture or all those children...the normal gypsy sources of income in the UK are shoplifting (by children), burglary, fuel and metals theft
