The body of work of their first 3 or 4 albums has put them in position to be one of my 20 favorite all-time artists.
Here are my Top Ten: Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Lloyd Cole, The Jam, The Smiths, R.E.M., Billy Bragg, Rush, John Wesley Harding, The Replacements.
I'm not saying those are the 10 best ever, just my personal top 10.
The early work of the Indigo Girls was both moving and rocking.
P.S. Nobody does "Romeo and Juliet" better than Amy Ray. Nobody. Period.
A lot of really good music is released year after year, sometimes you forget about the older stuff. It has been a while since I heard this. I didn't know it was used in The Office.
I haven't heard the Indigo Girls in about 13 years. The Crazy thing is I suddenly remembered them thanks to an episode of the Office where to of the chars. were singing it back and forth, so I had to look them up. Thanks for posting!
@Mobhitmusic Darkness has a hunger that`s issatiable and lightness has a call that`s hard to hear. I wrap my fear around like a blanket. I sailed my ship of safety till I sank it I`m crawling on your shores. Those my friends are great lyrics!!
@Mobhitmusic It's 12:49 over here and I just watched the episode in the Office when Jim and Andy are Drunk singing to Closer I am to Fire. Are you kidding me ..... I just found out about this song .. andd it's awesome especially because I'm a HUGE coldplay fan.
