We always had that initial attack every spring where they tried to get in and take over - but being the smart ass kid and not allowed to play with poison I used whatever I could to strike back. The simple and effective answer was to hit the supply lines with Windex or any similar ammonia based glass cleaner and let them drown it in and leave it there to stop em and easy to clean up after the attacks stop.
If that doesn't work make a pact with the mosquitoes - air power usually wins.
Just put out some aspartame. It's a nerotoxin. that will kill them.

@louiswolfe very crafty! i have tried such tactics, such as windexing the hive or spraying oven cleaner on trails. it does work surprisingly well.
