If you sing properly, you have this mix of upper and lower registers throughout the entire voice. You don't have to call it SLS. I am a classical teacher who has taken SLS lessons as well and it is just another name for aligning the registers, nothing new.

If you dont mind me answering. It is because the sound vibrates quicker within your head cavity, giving you a headache. I get them too;)

Yes but the problem is by the time your in your third octive you start sounding like a girl. Whats the purpose of a high range even if its head voice as you call it its still sounds like a whistle. How many of us guys use that range? I rather have 3 octive voice with out sounding like a girl. Seth Riggs was kicked out of the University for a reason. For hundreds of years voice masters have been training singers and all of a sudden your telling me that SLS is the only way? I really need answers.

by all means, SLS is not the only way! Seth got fired from a lot of jobs and kicked out of organizations because of business practices, never because of vocal technique. Can you give me an example of a guy's voice who doesn't sound "like a whistle?" I'm not clear about what you are talking about. Is it that you like a darker color? ie., Domingo? Bolton? Give some examples of what you are looking for. Thanks

Seth got kicked out of all the schools, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing, for a few reasons. One of the most disturbing was that he would talk other teachers' students to study with him, sometimes for free, and he would claim that he taught the student. He was not as good as other teachers and so he just put his name on already trained singers. Many famous singers avoid him, he will also claim that he taught a famous singer, even if they refuse to return after 1 lesson.
