Cool i used to have 3 guinea pigs but now 1 well heres the story piko miko and bing good freinds piko and bing were quite ruff and didnt like each other they fighted and for food piko normaly snatched and bing just jumped on him you wont belive it piko was tiny and 2 years later bing ate fully piko cry cry 2 days he stood at the vet and back home adventully he died now i have miko sad story BUT TRUE!
Bing ate Piko??? Totally bizzare! My friend had a story like that except it was with mice and he didn't feed them enough or something and one of them ate the other one's face...gross. Anyways sorry to hear that happened. Thanks for all the great comments guys!
do you actually have a guinea pig? because they wont eat meat, or cheese. my grandma accidently gave my guinea cheese once...didnt eat it. my sister offered her meat once (as a joke) and she sprinted into her house. they r vegetarians
Who is the dad who is the mum, and don't put the boar into the same cage with the sow after she has given birth or the boar may kill the baby by either, squashing it attempting to mate with the sow, or kill it with teeth ect. :) lovely guineas though!!! mine have given birth and they ARE cute real life!!
I still wouldn't do a visiting time if both are intact. All it takes is a split second for him to impregnate her again before you can get him off. Your best bet is to have him neutered so they can all live happily together again. What sex is the baby pig? Just wanted to make sure you knew if it's a male he needs to be taken away from mom at 21 days old or he can impregnate her again.
If the boar was with the sow after she gave birth, she is extremely fertile at that time. 99.9% sure she is pregnant again. It's very hard on the sows to be bred so close together. If you want the dad to live with them, you have to have him neutered, or he can live by himself with any other boar babies.
dont worry...i have them separated, but its just a visiting time for the father thats watched closely by us. when he doesnt get to visit, he can actually jump out of the cage using sheer will power, pretty scary cuz he lands on whatever body part. i read about the care of guinea pigs, just didnt know that term =P

Is the dad neutered? If not, your sow is already back bred, which is extremely dangerous.
