hmm well it may be something ill look into as i know have an 88 RS with a 3.1 but i could do alot with a 3.1 alot more than a 2.8

@sleeperblacking well i would since i have a 350 ready to drop in but the turbo seals are gone and the setup is really not that good, i just slapped it together to see what would happen. Next time i make one i will do it properly

HMm i thought about doing this on my old camaro had the 2.8 but the sad reality of it is that the internals are not strong enough for a turbo to be run for a sustained amount of time hope you got plans for it i heard some lifter knock when you started it so yeah..nice build tho not trying to dog you just what i know

@trunkbangking Well RICE stands for race inspired cosmetic enhancement (aka no performance upgrade all looks), this has a turbo on it so its far from RICE because it has no bodykit or anything but it has a performance upgrade.

i personally dont like v6 engines but what you didnt is pretty cool. I want to put twin turbos on my camaro my dad is giving my but i dont have much room because its an rs 305ci/5 L.

so this is completely stock computer? that would be nuts if it ran that well and you diddnt modify the stock silly wiring harness. its a cool project and im suprized it runs as nice as it does, but theres SOOOOOO much room for improvement! i think its good the way it is though, to actually upgrade it, that would be new pistons, lots of other internals, bigger injectors, totally different wiring. these 2.8 mpfi's are NOT sequentially injected.

i was suprised also that it ran so well, i though she was dead last year cauz it was sputerring like crazy but i started her up last weekend after the winter and she still runs fine, i tihnk it was the ignition wires.. This was a reall low budget build and amteur as you can see since it is my first, i have a 350 with a holley 4 barrel and 3 speed that ill be working on this summer, should be fun!!!

get direct fuel injection. It spays the fuel in the valve chamber vaporizing it making it easier to burn. A four barrel carb just lets the fuel in the valve chamber

that is not how direct injection works or how a carb works... you cant put direct injection on that car because the cylinders and the head dont have the propper design to use direct injection.. but regular electronic fuel injection could be used. all fuel is vaporized before it enters the combustion chamber.... no mater what fuel system you use. carbs vaporize it in the air stream, efi before the combustion chamber and direct injection uses extremely high presure to vaporize it in the chamber

@xtramedium2 I know it was kind of a figure of speech. With a carb the vaccum of air sucks fuel into the valve chamber so it can be burnt. Fuel injection is sprayed. diesel inject is up to 100 times more psi than a gasolin engine. I understand it all.

That thing is slow. Just go back to stock. I own a turbo Camaro V6 and I can smoke the tires way easier than you. You need to tune the car to really get the benefits of the turbo. I'm pretty sure you are running super lean and your engine wont last that long. There is a guy on fullthrottleV6 his name is firebird_firebird he can sell you a set up so you can tune your car. Then you can really get the best out of the turbo. But just do yourself a favor and stop driving till you get a tune.

nop, but needs serious tuning, the MAF sensor stopped working for some reasion so its running way lean.. also should put bigger injecotrs in since nothing has being done to the fuel system ahahha suprised it dindt blow up yet

Tuning? what tuning aha, just slaped a turbo on the car and set it to run 6 psi thats it, everything else is stock, fuel pump, injectors, ecu, alll stock dindt touch anything
