  • @99thruth cheers buddy :-)

  • whats the name of this song? and who's it by? good job, by the way

  • @macnairb Thank you. It's something I put together a few years back, heavily inspired by that genius of guitar, Albert Lee. I call it 'City Girl'...

  • This Video was the Reason i buy this Vintage Guitar!

  • @RolandDresel lol thank you

  • Never liked country metal until I saw this! Brilliant stuff Gav!

  • Ahh Dude You Rock, I Saw You Playing At That Music Live Thing, Most Excellent :D

  • @Rakatan6666 cheers dude :-)

  • can this guitar handle like heavy metal??

can it handle hi gain settings?

  • @monkeycat33 As well as a disgrace to the genre of country, both of which are disgraces to actual tasteful music.

  • i want an mp3 of this. ive always wondered what country and metal would sound like together. this is amazing!!!

  • @BODOMxFIEND John 5!

    He's the god of countrymetal

  • regular country=better. regulr metal=better. haha

  • Hi, do you know what type of case this fits in? Thanks

  • Any standard electric guitar or tele-style case.

  • Cheers! Love your playing by the way!!

  • how is the neck? too thin? too thick? can it handle shred?

  • The neck is great, just right, although that can be a subjective thing. It has no problem with hi gain shred.

  • holy shit brother! you can really fuckin shred man! I wish there were more country metal artists. that was really great sweepin in there too bro keep it up

  • Lol, cheers dude :-)

  • dude,do you know what you have done with writing that comment?you have doomed yourself to endure eternal torments equal of going on emo concert!!!!:):):)

  • LOL cheers dude!

  • i play metal, and i want to learn country metal. i keep looking everywhere but i can't find anything online to teach me, nor tabs. help please?

  • LOL, I'm sorry dude, I just don't have time to tab something out. But the basic starter position is a major pentatonic - try from your thick e string, G A B then on your a string D E finally on the d string G..... or........

    D 5

    A 5 7

    E 3 5 7

This is G major pentatonic or, your E minor relative pentatonic, and the basis for the main lick throughout.

  • thanks, his is theory right, i'm taking music theory class

  • Nice playing I saw you at music live, me and my mates watched you for ages. Keep rocking!

  • LOL cheers dude :-)

  • great song, awesome playing

  • Cheers dude :-)

  • Man, Ive been waiting to hear a fusion of country & metal for years! We know countrys been combined w/punk (Jason & the scorchers) & weve seen unique bluegrass stylings w/punk (Killbilly). This just blew me away though! The only other thing that Ive heard before this, was a guy playing Crazy Train(& doing it perfectly) on a pedal steel(and actually not making use of the pedals-so it was technically lap-steel style) but that doesnt really count, cause it wasnt a hybrid! This made my day.

  • any metal fusion is better than polka metal.

  • gav youre a real virtuoso! thanks for posting

  • Cheers dude, glad you liked it.

  • dude do u remember coming to greenbanks music village in luton and playin this song and brains boogie i have the vintage vrs 100 lovin it had it for 2 years and it still plays great.

  • sometimes i wish i could s my own d.

  • That kicks soo much ass! Go Gav!! hehehe

    DD

  • i'm just a country boy!

    who did that track?

Ian gillan once raved about it on the radio then played it, top tune!

  • you might meen skynryd

  • That would be Albert Lee best country player in Nashville (the world) but he's from England check out "country boy" on U tube

  • Vintage guitars? I will check that out...can you test drive them in Canada I wonder?

  • I just saw that guitar in another video, from England. Pardon my ignorance, but what is that thing?

I love the thumb cutout above the neck joint. How is this axe compared to a Telecaster?

That is some scary riffage on that thing either way mate! And don't think I missed the Smoke on the Water riff! haha

  • Thanks for the comments Lightening Boy. It's a bit more versatile than a Standard tele, due to the humbucker/single coil switching through the "roll control". see my other vid for more features. You can get them in Canada through MIDC Distribution.

  • Ah right!

I am about to drop on a new Tele American Standard. I am 99% sure nothing can replace it, but I will investigate...

Gotta keep an open mind when dropping on expensive git-fiddles.
