  • Cool, you could have also just simply replaced the phone system with bluetooth and you would get voice control and bluetooth check out bimmernav for info on how to upgrade to bluetooth

  • was that tech around in 1990s too or just added that in

  • Cool system!

  • Did you need to hook all the pins from the module to various components in the car for the retrofit, or do you only need a couple/not all to make it all work. For example: +12v, Switched 12v, Ground, microphone and iBUS.

Do you have a wiring diagram of the SES module?

  • Shame the carphone is out of service. You could retrofit the Siemens BITII phone or the later model curly-cord model, but the 900MHZ frequency isn't used in the US.

  • that's pretty cool, nice video.

Is it possible to change that phone to a newer one that works?

  • What NAV computer is that?

  • That's the DVD based MK4 with 16:9 widescreen

  • hey man i have a 1995 bmw 740 with the M60 4.0L i was wondering how did you get that navi system? also how much was it?/ can you play DVDs with it???

  • nice demo.

  • i have same car. im looking to replace cluster (bad pixals) is it plug and play?

i tried to clean pixals ...no good

i need to get that one

    thanks

  • I had mine replaced by BMW, they were offering a good will program where if you pay the labor they replace the part for free. You will not be able to swap in a used cluster into your car. The clusters are coded with information like mileage and vin number. So the only options are to clean the contacts from the ribbon inside your cluster, or have it replaced by BMW.

  • what kind of instument panel is that? looks different from my95 e38

  • It's a BMW replacement instrument cluster with chrome gauge rings and CF bezel installed.

  • how difficult is this to do? Are there instructions anywhere?

  • it depends on what year your car is. Some years it is plug and play, other years requires alot of work.
