  • i gotta say. that guy did Deans facial expressions to a T. he doesn't look like him, but did a pretty good job with everything else, the attitude, everything. they both did a great job. i was pleasantly surprised. But it's kind of makes it hard to watch the real Dean and Jerry, knowing that all this went down :(

  • Is there part 11?

  • @Slurpee156 I found the missing part 11. It's showing in my videos as blocked in some countries: Bermuda, Canada, Montenegro, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Serbia, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands. I will look for another place to upload this so folks can actually see the whole movie.

  • @grooveyloop Thank you!

  • This movie captured the backstage stuff well, but the scenes of them performing together were just awful. This just makes you appreciate the real thing even more. Watch Youtube clips from the Colgate Comedy Hour instead.

  • I've read "Dean and Me" and a biography on the Rat Pack and on Dean Martin, and on Jerry Lewis...this is...an interesting take on all of those things put together.

  • I used to laugh myself out of breath watching their antics on the Golgate Comedy Hour. No other comedians ever did that for me.

  • That thing Jeremy Northam does with his hand at 4:34 is totally Deno!

  • I think the two actors did a pretty darn good job of portraying them but i dont think the movie showed how much they really loved each other. And they portrayed Dean as a jerk!

  • Okay truthfully the actors did all right and im not saying i hated the movie. But i hate the fact that both men were portrayed in a negative way makes me hate it a bit. But then im bias because i love Dean and most of all Jerry and they can do no wrong in my eyes.....

    R.I.P. Dino u are missed <3

I absolutely LOVE LOVE these two forever, I love u Jerry Lewis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why does this movie show them both under such negative light? there was tremendous love between them when they worked together AND after the split even though it didn't show. After reading books on both jerry and dean I find neither char portrayed in this movie accurate. Dean was loving and generous although often wasn't showed and jerry is cute and really was just a kid seeking for love. This movie doesn't do them justice.

  • idk i feel like this movie just highlighted their faults and the bad tension between them, rather than celebrate their huge success and deep-rooted love for one another. maybe that was the point, idk but it was kinda a depressing movie.

  • @Hadeydeppio It does mostly highlight that. I think it was the point of the movie though to show a somewhat behind the scenes glimpse of what caused the breakup.

  • @Hadeydeppio I disagree. I think the movie did a good job of showing them as human beings. No bad guys, each with strengths and weaknesses. It was probably pretty accurate.

  • I love the style of this film; the music & the atmosphere just evoke images of Old Hollywood so well...very classy

  • the ironic thing is, everyone is saying how Sean Hayes did an amazing job as Jerry and Jeremy Northam did an ok job as Dean--just like Dean & Jerry's reviews while they were a team

  • This was such a great movie to watch! :D Now I want to go out and buy the movie.

  • @RawrILuvzYou Good luck with that, you can usually only find it on Ebay and that's once in a blue moon.

  • its sad how stuff like that happens. like i was truly amazed to know that Bob Hope and Bing Crosby HATED each other. every time i watch this movie i think of all those great teams that got broken up for one reason or another. these two were an item everybody loved, its a shame it ended like that :( RIP Dino

  • It doesnt matter if there are inaccuracies - it's a celebration of their partnership and we all appreciate it - thanks very much. Two great men of talent !

  • Thanx for loading this movie, I cried in the end.. I just love Jerry and Dean my ultimate fav actors, entertainers growing up and still now watching their movies with my niece. You can never replace the originals.. Those hollywood days, actors, celebs are sure different than today, they had their style that actors of today cannot replace..

  • Also, I want to add that it is absolutely incredible how in the book Jerry Lewis is so very accurate on the days, dates and even in some cases, the time that certain events happened during their storied career together. As is shown in the movie, he obviously kept a scrapbook and journal of everything they did during their time together... major and minor... and I'm sure in some cases his memory of things is dead on accurate as well. Ohhhhhh, what I would give for an hour perusing all of that!!

  • I just finished "Dean & Me... a love story" by Jerry Lewis and IMO there is more accuracy to the movie than many here have credited to it. Granted, in a movie like this there is going to be inaccuracies and creative license to be had, but they clearly state this in the ending credits. But overall it shows things as I've read them to have been, for the most part. Nobody but Martin and Lewis themselves could have done it full justice and that's not possible. Thanks for uploading this... great job!

  • I've never read the second book, Dino: Living High in the Dirty Business of Dreams, but have wanted to. I love Dean and Me and have read it about 5 times. You're welcome as well!

  • If anyone is interested in the "true story" I recommend two books about Jerry and Dean. 1. Dean & Me (A Love Story) by Jerry Lewis with James Kaplan 2. Nick Tosches, Dino: Living High in the Dirty Business of Dreams. For a t.v. movie it's pretty damn good, Thanks for uploading,' Martin and Lewis' grooveyloop.

  • this is so sad!! I almost cry at their good byes.. But that was how it was in real life.! Jerry lewis said in an interview! Such a sad good bye

  • in real life jerry, was one half to a full inch taller that dean but he would stoop do he would look like the weaker person.

the fact is that they were both extremely talented in their own right and each needed to go in their own direction. jerry would never have done the ingenious movies he made in the late 50's early 60's as part of a team. in essence, dean taught him to be a man.

i cannot believe they couldn't find better actors, though. maybe these guys came cheaper.

  • how important is it to watch the 0:01 part of 13/13?

  • @septip123 When I uploaded them I used a bulk uploader and just uploaded all the parts the program made so there were 13 parts so that's what I uploaded you don't have to like that I put it there, it's my account.

  • Their last show at the Copa: the night comedy died.

  • @ziggykelly :( so sad but so true

  • The actors did a good job of portraying Dean and Jerry, but I felt like the film should have shown more of their actual friendship. It seemed like they were never very close in the film, but in reality despite their differences, they seemed to be good friends. They should have made a bit more emphasis on the chemistry the two had together. Thank you for posting the film!

  • Jeremy Northam is absolutely awesome in this. I don't really care how accurate it is or is not, I think he has Dean Martin's voice down pat. As a child, without knowing anything about Martin and Lewis' working relationship, I could never understand what a wonderfully talented man like Dean Martin was doing giving the time of day to a talentless moron like Jerry Lewis. My only criticism of Sean Hayes in this, is that he is not quite irritating enough. IMHO, of course.

  • ywywywywywywywywywywywyw furrowin

  • tytytytytytytytytytytyty grooveyloop

  • @ 6:34 Dean and Jerry did not see each other for twenty years.**Uh Ohl*** Dean made a public reconciliation with Jerry Lewis on his 1976 Telethon. Sinatra brought Martin on stage. They embraced & cheers and the phone banks lit up!!. Lewis brought down the house when he quipped, "So, you working?" This moment along with the death of Martin's son Dean Martin a few years later, helped to bring the two men together. They MAINTAINED a quiet friendship & performed together one last time in 1989

  • It's fascinating that despite the billing of the comic team. They were paid at the rate of 1 getting 60% and the other 40%. The 1 was considered more valuable in all comedy duo routines for decades in Hollywood, until the straight man and the comic guy fought to be paid equally. To think they were worth 20Million in the 1950's? Incredible!

  • both men, as well as their desperate yearning to be loved and accepted -- not only by their fans, by their families and friends. And even though he is not always shown in the best light, Jerry Lewis, surviving member of the team, loved the film and gave it his unconditional blessing when Martin and Lewis made its CBS bow on November 24, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

    Movie Details

    Title: Martin and Lewis

    Running Time: 95 Minutes

    Country: USA

    Genre: Slapstick, Biography [feature]

  • Thanks for posting that!!! I have wanted to see that movie for a long time!! :)))

the reunion they had at the telethon really is touching, and if you watch it closely, you can see jerry is crying a little. That was a real moment for the two!! :)))

  • thanks for uploading this, awesome film

  • You're welcome!

  • It's a great movie, but it was hard to watch it.

  • it's so sad when they sing "side by side"...gave me chills. I have old Colgate comedy hour DVD's these 2 were the best together. :( :( :(

  • I waited until the end to comment. Sean had me thinking Jerry for most of the film, but on the other hand, Jeremy never had me thinking Dean. Like most people have already stated.., this movie is full of inaccuracies and some events are out of chronological order. I just recently read the book Dean and Me by Jerry Lewis, from what I understand Jerry had written the book in response to this movie.... so I would encourage fans to read it .

  • Its such a great film! I love it!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I can't believe I taped it off the TV way back and then went over it, like a muppet! Who cares how accurate it is? Jeremy Northam is sooooooooo hot!!!!!

  • That's a shame he has such a great voice!!! Love to hear him sing some of those songs himself (although I suppose he wouldn't sound enough like Dean!!)

  • So Jeremy was lip synching?? He didn't do any of the singing at all??

  • nope, it was all Dean.

  • My reasoning is that it's hard enough for an Englishman to talk like Dino, so singing just like him would be pretty hard too.

  • Thanks for posting this. they both had an abundance of talent . Different from one another yet complimenting one another. I am not sure either would have made it w/o the other in the beginning. Dean w/o question could've and did do many things afterwards. I think Jerry sold himself short. He too could've done more. He had skills obvious in the nutty professor. Whatever, I enjoyed their shows as a kid like millions of others. The time just comes for ppl to go their separate paths...thanks again.

  • All the talk about it being accurate may be right, but I think we never really know the whole truth of anything.. things always go on behind the scenes and in peoples' hearts and minds we can never know.. so I think that this is very true, for what we know, and the actors did what they could, knowing that no one can compare with greats like these.

  • I don't see this movie asblaming any one person. Everything comes to an end eventually. It was a thing that just played itself out.

  • As the saying goes - all relationships end badly - otherwise they don't end.

  • Please never delete this it has my hero Sean Patrick Hayes playing on of the greatest men on earth. And I could watch it over and over.

  • I never plan to delete this, and I hope it never gets yanked down by youtube either! I was flagged a few months back but they allowed me to keep the video up, so hopefully it stays up for good! Sean makes such a wonderful Jerry!

  • Yeah it's not anything like the book Jerry wrote about what happened, a lotta things are off. Like they were in a meeting and then the people who held the contract said you can't leave the act/business and Dean said "Watch me" and left the room and that was the end, they don't include that in here, I wish they were more accurate.

  • There were so many interesting things they could have showed in this movie about Dean & Jerry and their relationship, things which were not considered at all. I'm sorry, I don't want to criticise, but the movie is inaccurate, and it doesn't show the passionate, greatly talented, unbelievably charismatic men they were and the complexity of their friendship. It is a one-sided and shallow movie, and it doesn't do any justice to Dean and Jerry. I'm sorry again, but it's a pity.

  • This movie is good, though inaccurate in various places--probably is one of those things that caused Jerry to write "Dean & Me." The fallout was both their faults, and I think they each knew it. This movie definitely over-portrays Lewis' ego, makes him look worse than he was.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening. I have wanted to see this for years, and you made it possible. <3

  • You're so very welcome!

  • And one more thing, the actors playing Dean and Jerry are doing their best, what they do isn't easy, but they're far away from the originals.. They don't seem funny at all; watching them you wonder how come Dean and Jerry got to be so loved and famous? Just an example, anybody watching how the real Dean and Jerry perform the song "Oh Marie" (it's on Youtube)can see the BIG difference ...I know, an imitation can never be like the original, that's why I prefer to watch the real Dean and Jerry...

  • They were absolutely great together, the best, but they had worked together for 10 years and I think it was about time for them to develop their careers separately, which they did wonderfully. There was no point in their growing old together, doing the same kind of movies and shows, even if they were so successful together...after all, life is change. It's sad that they had to quarrel like that, though. And I don't think the movie is completely accurate, sorry to say it.

  • Thank You!!!!

  • Jeremy Northam is awesome

  • luv ya SEAN P

  • I LOVE this film dont you EVER! deleate itx it is so accurate to all the things ive herd and read by both dean and jerry it is unberleaverbal! it even made me cry and i never cry at films x it always makes me up set to hear the way they split up iand iver heard it a million time x thank you some much for up loading this fiml xxxxxx

  • I would never delete it! I always cry watching this film, because it is so sad hearing about how they broke up! Well, some of it is accurate, a lot, I don't know, if Jerry had any say in the film, how he let some of it in there.

  • demasiado triste

  • Yeah, it really is. I usually end up bawling my eyes out at the end of this movie lol. It's just so obvious that they love each other and it's sad that it had to end like this.
