If others are using your NETWORK, that is going to limit whatever bandwidth is available for you to use.

Just like driving down a street by yourself as compared to having a car in front of you.

The whole point of having the Wireless Network Adapter is to connect wirelessly to your "Wireless Network", whether that be connecting to a Router, Modem, Switch, Hub, etc that can accept that wireless connection.

You might want to do some research before buying a product you cannot even utilize. At least, so you know what you need in conjunction with this product.

Why don't you just wire it the router? You will get your full downstream and upstream speeds. The N adapter does too but you also need a N router which you probably don't have and they are expensive right now.

@ibondurmom because i have my xbox in my room and we just built a new house 5 years ago and the peopl who wired the phone line didnt check it before drywall went up and of course there was a short in it so we ran 1 phone line into the office and have a router there if my parents were fine with me drilling a hole in the floor to run ethernet cables i would do it because its cheaper but i doubt they would like that

actually. i think i know why. Mabey its because wired connection is faster. cause on my ps3 wifi is fucking laggy, long ass time to download and hard. but on my 360 wired is fast and easy. but i agree with you though.

u supost to play the dvd and run the aplication, then the wireles adapter will work, but in my case i got the same one but i cant get a connection network cus my f****n neighbor got wpe and wpa secuirity so i cant connect to internet, but if some1 of u have the same problem i will recomend to buy a wireles for home, the connecto a caple from the wireles to the xbox and walah! u dont need that fuc**n damned things, the wireles for home worth less than that shit

its a/b/g, but you are not forced to get it the "n" is suggested if you have a "n" compatible router. but it may or may not run faster with the back adapter because of the 2 attenas but it is compatible with a/b/g routers.

I just baught it today and it works fine, its twice as fast as the onld router but... if you internet router doesnt support Dual band N then it will NOT work, to find out if you have it you can ring up your internet provider and ask or sometimes your wireless router should have a picture that says this : abg WI-FI n. if yours does not have apicture then try ringing yourr provider.
