  • Can u please say me how to get a out put of 3.0 v

  • where do i get those solar panels from? Any store that sells them? Don't want to order them unless i have to.

  • So if i had a closed container with 2 electrodes in it and some way to put electricity into it, I got myself a rechargeable battery?

  • @alexkenenth G'day, nice clip. The drawback in Automotive HH0 Units is the step-up belted Alternator. It's 2%-3% fuel-efficient. 44 watts fuelburn ,2 crank shaft, to drive belt, 2 spin Alt., 2 electrolyse enuf HHO 2 burn/crank out 1 Watt Torque equivalent. I save 5.3 Litres Wk from 30Watt PV on 1.8 Litre Subaru 4WD. Search 'sunfoil', for details. Open Source. Interlocking clips. View "Short-Talk" first. Check "Hodgey's H.-Burning Subaru" 2, & Check Details & Posts. Ciao!

  • So if I get this right, 4.6V can be magically transformed through the process of electrolysis and hydrolysis into 2V? This'll change the world!! Solar power isn't a practical, global source of electricity btw. Can this form of electrolysis be used more efficiently today to power something solely?

  • This video states that the hydrogen is "made" directly from the sunlight, which it is NOT! The hydrogen is ISOLATED by the IONIZATION of water molecules through the process of electrolosis! The "sunlight" is NOT responsible for this process, instead, the electrical current created by the solar cell IS!!

DON'T BE FOOLED!! This is a disinformation video!

  • @NWPsilocybe

dude this is entirely true you see the salt water jar acts as a salt water capacitor the stores nearly half of the voltage supplied to it .

  • @NWPsilocybe

dude this is entirely true you see the salt water jar acts as a salt water capacitor the stores nearly half of the voltage supplied to it .accepted that the cation given to it is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • were do you get the solar panels

  • once you remove the solar panel, with the voltage the water gives you, could you light up a low voltage LED?

  • Yay! Someone listened in science classes! :D

  • sucks

  • sweet! very simple setup. pv cell, anode and cathode, and a redox rxn. i see you have about 0.4 watts of power, do you produce more gas per second with more power?

  • 2:18 Sec I will never get back- Oh by the Way- Hydrogen is explosive

  • @fidely no fucking duh moron

  • you owe me 2:18 seconds of my awesome life

  • interesting video ,i had no idea carbon rods did the trick 2

    thx

    grtz

  • so you can drink hydrogen fuel? is it an adequate alternative if you run out of h2o to drink?

  • no you cant

  • You can't but by burning hydrogen in air you turn it back into water.

  • would this explode if u waited for long enouught and tryed to light it. because with the bonds between the hydrogeen and oxygen split theres a fuel and oxygen to make it burn faster

  • Yes , someone i know made one , we coonected it to a 12v power supply and left it run for about 20 secondes , we then lifted the lid and put a match to it , there was a pretty resonable explosion.

  • cool

  • theres more efficent designs using plates closely spaced

  • you could use gold or platinum, they are more conductive

  • yeah and hecka expencive =S

  • cool this mean all u need is few pencils a solar panel on roof and water to drive a car

  • Uhmm....and how can I utalize this experiment to my advantage? I see no gain in this. But much potential

  • this is a waste of my time.i cant believe i let a stupid 2 minute video waste two minutes of my life...HAHAH just kiding its sweet im bout to try it with my bro

  • how do i get the lead out of a pencil without breaking it?

  • heat it using a low voltage but pretty high current source.

It should melt the glue and come out in one piece ;)

Warning! This operation si dangerous, and by doing this one might electrocute, set oneself or others on fire, and so on with the bla-bla-bla. u get the point.

  • you just need to crack the pencil sideways. You can take a hammer and nail and just tap it on one end until it cracks, then keep going down until you've cracked it most of the way down, rip it apart, and then pull the lead out.

  • lol, funniest question eva

  • easiest meathod burn it, the grafite will stay while the wood burns

  • why the carbon rods ?

  • carbon or graphite rods will not react chemically with water, oxygen nor the hydrogen produced in there.

It does not act like a catalyst, just maintains a good conductivity and does not develop an oxide layer as in the case of metallic rods/electrodes.

Try using two graphite concentric cylinders for greater surface area ;)

Space and center them with glass rods or ceramic spacers.

    Greets!

  • So this isnt a pure water electrolyser like a PEM fulecell? What is the electrolyte?

  • An electrolyser it is, but not a pure water one :D

The electrolyte is water but the "tap" kind of. So, naturally, will contain some impurities and will not have a perfectly neutral Ph.

I don't see any proton exchange membrane in that jar. Where's the similarity? :P

    Plain simple tap water electrolysis...

  • because they don't corrode or react at all with water you can use anything that conducts electricity but most metals will react with the oxygen instead of releasing it for example an iron rod will rust and not produce any oxygen.

  • What a cool little demo, thanks for sharing!

  • that's amazingly cool, Alex !!

Very nice Vid ! I'm doing this over the weekend :P

  • so the volts in the water will keep rising if the solar panel is still connected?

  • awesome music! lol

  • Why do you need the carbon rods??

wouldn't it still work if you simple put the wires in the water?

  • Dude. You are splitting water with a current. This is not how a hydrogen fuel cell works. Oxidation happens on the anode. Hydrogen (i.e. protons) need to be reduced. Hydrogen is forming at the cathode (+ end).

A fuel cell oxidizes hydrogen along a platinum anode, the resulting protons go through a proton permeable membrane, and reduce with oxygen at the cathode to form water. The information in this video is incorrect.

  • I bought a F-16 Pulse King on ebay,

    Terrefic results on my HHO

    about 25% increase.

  • Now what can we do with the hydrogen?

  • make hydrogen cars...duh

  • Make a floating balloon

  • awesome

  • cool, i didnt know this..

  • wow thats cool i like it grate job dudes

  • for someones future reference if you dont want to get a solar panel a 9 volt battery also works. i know, I tried it.

  • can it light on fire or some how hurt some 1 if not i dont give a fuck! smash a puppys head or somthing shit comon man

  • you are smart

  • it's simple electrolysis of water. you can do the same thing with a 9volt battery.

  • wied lot of money?????????????

  • Hmm H2SO4 is used in older car batteries.

  • DID YOU ADD H2SO4???

i asked to my science teacher on how to make one and he said i need to add H2SO4 in my water. is it realy necesary?

  • H2SO4 is just an acid, doesn't really involves in water electrolysis.

  • nice, you can easily capture the hydrogen/oxygen w/e u want by putting the pencil lead or w/e the fancy world for it is under 2 different cups and there you go pretty much free hydrogen and oxygen on their own.

  • That process is called electrolysis and it simply splits de oxygen bubles from hydroyen ones.

  • just like the electrical bonds of hydrogen and oxygen can be broke with adding an electrical charge, so can the bonds of iron and oxygen(rust) using the same method. i wonder if the creation of rust creates an electrical output too?

  • The Iron (Fe) forms Fe 2+ ions in the presence of water, the electrons from this happening frees two electrons (so yeah)

  • thanx!! nice vid!!!

  • illuminating balloons?

  • oh no, i ran out of hydrogen. let me put up my own hydrogienic powerplant thingie and fill up again... wouldn't walking be easier?

  • it dosent seem simpel

  • Your not explaining it completely right!!

If the H2O is splitting and the H2 bubbles on the -ve pencil, then where is the O2. The water would be too hot to contain O2 gas.

hint: there is voltage after panel is removed.

  • What happen is that the Hydrogen is attracted to the + and the Oxygen builds up on the - electrode.

Using such small electrodes the water temp would not rise noticeable.

The H2O would have been split into H2 & O

  • Ha! someone just got told! =D

  • dude i may have been told but i am learning, how about you, only here tp make fun and possibly only royal bollocks too. go jump in a well and cool off. idiot!!

  • Get a panel meter for your fuel cell here ebay :250259130258

  • well, pencil lead isnt carbon, its graphite nowadays to my understanding...

  • .....uh, graphite is carbon

  • me thinks graphite is pencil lead(",) hehehe

  • Yep, graphite is just planar-bonded carbon. As opposed to carbon bonded out of plane, which we call diamond.

  • use salt it gives a better effect.

  • salt results in chlorine gas being given off as well. Tiny amounts, but it's still toxic.

  • genious! you know this is also used to clean rust off metal? i was watching it on powerblock on spike. but they use a car battery and its on a bigger scale

  • well since electricity being added causes the +- bonds to break, it also breaks the bonds of oxygen to metals(rust). electricity is also created when the bonds reattach after the electricity is disconnected, which is how fuel cells work :)

  • just like electricity breaks the bond of hydrogen and oxygen, it breaks the iron oxygen bond too(rust). since the bonding of hydrogen and oxygen creates energy(fuel cells) does the creation of rust create energy too?

  • Explanation/reason for that and everything, is that!

New and only right model of an atom

The atomcores expand three-dimentionally, opening up energywaves that have

the nature of electron and photon.

Lets check it out this etimespace videos

    Idea from Kuopio

    No gravity

    Bending light

And you know lot of more what today physics can told you.

    See you.

  • ... Is it possible to prevent the molocules from fusing back or whatever in the water? So the voltage stays in the water? If there were, then you could by a bunch of large solar panels and put them in your pool, and use your pool as a battery to heat your house.

  • u really need a combustion chamber with some hydrochloric acid. also u need to neutralise the liquid substance to help seperate the atom molecules therfore preventing a dna eruption with porn

  • YOU SHOULD EXPLAIN THAT YOU NEED ELECTROLITE FOR GETTING A GOOD PERFORMANCE. it's needed at least 0.2 mol/L of ions, and pure water has only 1x10e-7 mol/L of ionized H2O molecules.

  • The water i used isn't distilled or pure. I'm sure its containing other elements such as magnesium, iron, chlorine. If its pure water then i'm sure the bubbles would take about 10-100times longer to form.

Of course to make the bubbles form faster, i could add in NACL (sodium chloride) But the disadvantage is the solution will become NAOH and it'll not only give out OXYGEN or HYDROGEN but unwanted CHLORINE gas which is poisionous.

  • the chlorine doesn't gets out alive of the water, it forms a lot of odd precipitations.. believe me i have done it a lot of times

  • Then what kind of pungent gas i'm smelling that leaves from the NACL.H2O solution. I do strongly belive that was the obvious smell of chlorine gas.(when you go swimming pools you could smell that too,or your washing detergent)

  • Than just you NaHCO3, sodium bicarbonate...baking soda.

  • i learnt electrolsis in shool, that video was intresting:)

  • But I see you decided to skip "Inglesh". Ha, Inglesh, ho neds et.

  • What u mean i decided to skip English

  • The fuel of the future. Renewable, inexpensive, and it doesn't concern the Middle East. It's win-win.

  • No no, those socket on the wall is 110volts for america (if i'm not wrong) and 230volts for singapore , and its in AC. not DC, AC won't work. unless you have a AC to DC converter/adapter

  • @alexkenenth 120

  • hey ....where do by solar panels in Singapore?

  • One time at a party my brother and I was playing with a florecent light transformer and a glass of water making arcs under water. what if that was attached to some carbon plates?....lol

  • I would prefer to conect the wires to the DC on the wall...could that be dangerous?

  • yes,the wall is not dc it is ac, you would get some bizarre version of a short circuit that would probably fry you solar panels.

  • I've collected hydrogen gases before using the lead. Due to the small surface area, it took me about 10hours to collect 20cm sq of hydrogen gas!!! i'll need to find a conductor with a bigger surface area which won't corrode when electricity is passed through it.

    perhaps 2 gigantic steel plates.

  • you can use stainless steel for the anode, it gives good performance and doesn't dirt the water

  • very cool, now put each electrode covered with a tube in the beaker and collect each gas separately by running feed tubes to inverted gas jars full (initially) of water. Then burn the H2 and O2 thus collected in a combustion engine, and calculate the power output....you'll be suprised!!

  • if there was a way to capture the gases...

its fun doing that, we did it in science

    Hyrodren= big freaking bang

    Oxygen= BIG flame

if you could possibly get back to me on that...

  • GREAT GREAT JOB!

    nice video!

  • you just made a battery

just lighting the hydrogen on fire would be much cooler

  • electrolysis and galvanic reactions, a nine volt battery works well for it

  • yep, you can use batts too! just 5volts or more you'll be able to see the bubbles forming

  • can i use bateries if u don't have solar panels

  • yes

  • Thank you so much for this. You know I watch these alternative fuel energy videos, and they all seem to use batteries and mains power to get them going. I am so happy that you chose solar, for that I will add to favourites.

  • Thx for the vid, excellent!

  • What an awesome short little video. My kids would have loved this... assuming I hadn't eaten them.

  • lmao

  • Good Job

  • local hardware stores or electronic stores. If are living in other countries i might not able to point you out where to get solar panels. Why not you use shearch engines and find out which nearest store sells solar panels. my store is about 25km away.

  • were u get solar pannels
