I agree with you on the Iraq part. But at least they're not killing their own people, like Sri Lanka does. Slaughtering and maiming thousands of poor people.

And who do you think the ones who kills Tamils more than SLA? LTTE is either directly of indirectly responsible for more Tamil deaths than SLA. They recuite children, the aged, the sick, pregnant and what not? So who's inhumane?

The SLA has been accused by HRW, UN, ICRC and Amnesty intl of directly targetting and killing civilians in the so called "safe zones" almost all civilian deaths were by SLA and SLAF bombing and shelling. More than 3000 dead and 7000 critically wounded in the last wo months alone. Yes, the LTTE has also been accused of killing kleeing civilians and forced recruitment of many for the present war.

World don't trust AI and HRW anymore as they are in the HR TRADE. ICRC was forced to remove their country manager after found guilty of gun running for LTTE. Please specify the sources where UN accused SL of said crimes. Please do not present the letter from Navaneethan Pillai as UN itself said her claims are baseless. The figures on your comment is from Her report and she took it from very unreliable TamilNet, and were rejected by UN. So lease specify the sources of your claims.

HRW, UN, etc are non-profit orgs. They are made up of many nations and they have nothing to gain. I know the SL gov has a tendency to criticise anyone who exposes the gov attrocities as either LTTE supporters or those working for money. HRW is independent. They recently criticised Israel for war crimes and HR violations. There are literally thousands of articles on the human rights issues in SL. Yoy cant discount all of them in favour of SL gov controlled media like rupavahini- same as tamilnet

IF in fact the laughable claims made byRajapakse regarding UN, HRW were based on fact there would've been a inquiry and court case brining those responsible to justice. Only in SL can the gov make baseless claims and only propaganda fed people of SL will actually beleive them as they are unable to comprehend how worldwide orgs work and that the world does not operate on bribery and coruption like most orgs in SL and of course the SL goverment it self - a family run business.

Boy you are mistaken. UN depend on US money and dances according to US beat. HRW claims it's non profit. These orgs survive on conflicts and uses conflicts to collect money from donors. Israel killed over 1800 people in last two months and they issued a single report. China executed few 12 people and there were 8 reports. They are in the TRADE of HR. LTTE killed over 60 civilians in the last week and they haven't moved a muscle. Are they the one u rely on. Rely on your own people who blame LTTE

UN is made up of 192 member states. It does get 1/5 of its funding from the US. Regardless, the US was supportive of SL's war on LTTE- they only recently critised the gov for targetting and slaughtering civilians. So who do you think the world should rely on for what's going on in SL? The government?? haha. You think the the propaganda and lies put out by the gov is more believable than that the unbiased reporting by many independing orgs and news outlets from around the world?

One more thing, if the gov has nothing to hide then why not allow independent monitors and world media in? The fact is that they are doing something they don't want the world to see. Even local journalists not affliated with the gov are not allowed in. What does that tell you?

I agree on that. GOSL should allow reporters on the ground. Yet again, reporters are allowed to freely enter GOSL IDP camps but strangely no intl media is interested..!

This is not the 1st time GOSL liberated civilians. The whole East is liberated, civilians resettled, elections were held and they are living much better than they used to. No intl media covers their story. Why would the government want to kill Civil Tamils NOW?

There were many intl media personnel interested in visiting the so called welfare centres. Watch "hunting the tigers" by SBS, Australia. They are only allowed into certain centres and they are not allowed to talk to the refugees. Also watch a video on the camp that I have favorited in my profile - another western journo. The gov is showing disregard for the civilians trapped. If they were to show that they do care about the tamils, a large number of the tamils will support them.

Are you a journalist? If so you've got to watch what you say and I understand that it is a matter of life and death over there. So many journos killed or improsoned on false charges and so many tamil and sinhala journos have fled the country in fear of their lives. Like you I want peace in SL for all to live with peace, equality and dignity. The succesve governemnts of SL have all failed due to selfishness, corruption and greed. The Rajapaksa regime has been the worst so far.

US support SL war efforts. In fact Russia yesterday (26) announce they openly support SL and ready to give even weaponry. India, Pakistan, France, Japan, Israel and even Iran supports SL. On 27th Feb UN defense council unanimously rejected to push GOSL in to ceasefire but STRONGLY advised LTTE to lay down arms and let civilians go. Do U think all of these intl bodies are fooled by SL propaganda?

It is refreshing to see that I can have a normal debate with you unlike most of the other youtubers from SL. Yes the countries you listed are supportive and are helping a lot - esp India, China Pakistan. But that does not mean that the attrocities, HR violations and war crimes are not happening. The humanitarian orgs have brought these to light. Unfortunately, a lot of what the SL gov has done has only served to alienate tha tamils and sinhalese further. - dissaperances, concent'n camps, etc.
