  • lol, ducks looks like mini dinosaurs. their cute.

  • are they leagal?

    if so i want one!

  • nice job! god help u! for wat u done!

  • look at it go!

  • ducks kinda suck as perents :(

  • Yeah, Its true.

Acually the father does nothing for the babies, and the mother always leave them alone.

  • not all the time... birds are actually better parents then other animals. its just easier for them to get separated cause they are such easy prey

  • my aunt had one like that.

  • Ahhh what a cutey! Its cool you found it a safe place to grow up in. Some people would try and raise it, but its better a wild animal.

  • thats such a cute little duck! what did you name it???

  • OLD- One Lucky Duck :D

  • Actually, I'm not poking the duck, just pretending. Don't quite remember the logic to that.... But no, it wasn't reluctant to be held; we think he had just hatched, he was dirty and weak, and he had ants crawling on it. This video is after we fed it and cleaned it, so he's doing well now.

  • What a sweet little guy. You did a good thing. How will he know where to migrate to in winter? Do you think he'll be able to join some other ducks or do they let outsiders in?

  • The place we brought him to had other baby ducks his age (and all ages), so I'm sure he'll fit in fine. :D

  • How do you guys know you just didn't steal the duck from it's mom, and the duck was just heading out?

  • We didn't see it's mom in the area, and we did look. When we got it, it was also weak and dirty, we didn't even think it would live on the car ride home. We took this video after it ate and cleaned itself up.

  • i stoll a kitten from it's mother because she ignored it.I bottle fed it for 1 month spoiled her rotton.she is 9 years old now.lol

  • you should have 2

  • i did pritty much the same thing with a baby duck that was abandoned at my local canal, i brought it up myself then let it go back into the wild

i have a video of my duck in the bath on my channel if you want to see it

or you can just mark me as spam, your call

  • is it a boy or girl

  • No idea. We reffered to her as a girl, but we really aren't sure.

  • yeah cuz we got one that looks exactly like that one, and we arnt sure

  • Yeah, you can't tell by appearance when they're this young. When they get older, then you can tell.

  • last I found a baby mallard that was a day old. He WAS abandoned. 2 grown ducks started attacking it, so we took him out of the water, planning to call the animal rescue this morning. We kept him bundled up and tried to give him water to drink. Unfortunately he died in the middle of the night. I'm thinking he was already very sickly (thus why the mother left him behind), because he was never hyper at all and he wouldn't hardly opened his beak.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your baby duck, but like you said, it probably was very sick. We were worried this one wasn't going to make it through the night, we were so happy when it started cleaning itself and running around.

  • Thx for rescuing it, you did the right thing! God bless!

  • aww how adorable!

i love ducks, good thing you rescued it, it could have gotten hurt.

  • its a baby mallard

  • You know if you see a baby duck, (or any kind of baby animal) alone and its mother isn't near, your first reaction is probably ''OMGSH ITS MOTHER ABANDONED IT''

But the mother could be just out getting food, and usually she'll hid her babies in a bush. Or maybe in your case, she/he could of wandered off, but his/her mother could of been close by.

  • Don't think we didn't look; and it wasn't hiding in a bush, it was just out in the middle of the park. I appreicate your concern, though, and I assure you it's in a sage place with other ducks.

  • aww look at his wee feet flapping! :)

  • Don't poke the duck!

  • soo cute.wanna pet it

  • oh so cute!
