pantyhose! haha that solves the filter problem i guess. ive seen people make holes in their air boxes on their cars but they did nothing to filter the air.. sort of defeating the purpose of the stock air filter. i guess now i'll give it a try. gotta get me some pantyhose =)

Just go and buy the MSR kit, all you ahve to do is drill out and fit the vents to the holesaw holes.

On my WR426 the last owner removed the airbox lid completely and cut holes into the sides of the airbox. He then covered the holes with wire mesh from the inside. When you look through the side of the airbox, the air filter is visible through the mesh...I take it (from looking at your video) that the mod done on my bike is quite poor? The air filter has fairly large particles on it?

It is just duct tape and it is holding up fine.
