  • This was possibly the most realistic cop-and-villain show ever made.

  • Thank you for posting the video of the opening. I have been looking for it for some time!

  • @saladshop a lo davar - you welcome & shalom :)

  • Funny story. I was an extra on the two hour pilot to this great series. In wardrobe, I told the costume designer they should use the neon sign for the Orbit Room dance club on Broadway. He wrote down the address and they shot Dennis walking up to it in the cool opening to Runaway! Shalom to all.

  • @saladshop toda rama ;)

  • @saladshop Wow! what memories--I loved this show! Sooo cool because I use to go to the Orbit Room--and did a few fashion shows there back in the day--what a small world-I never knew this--thanks for the bit of trivia!

  • @plezhurhouse...thanks for the note. I was an extra for the pilot and told the costume director about the amazing Orbit Room sign. They immediately added it to the opening. Are you a fashion designer? That was the most amazing club which such style...and then it was gone! So it was really nice to see it in the opening. Thanks again!

  • @THESALADSHOP --yes Orbit room was amazing! I wish that it had lasted. Because of the type of club it was we did an avant garde futuristic type fashion show there with punked out clothes, white Cleopatra styled wigs, mini skirts and punk glasses.

  • @plezhurhouse The club scene in like fashion, I suppose...alwasys changing, evolving, and then there is retro! I went to alot of events there and various other clubs...might have seen your shows.

  • @THESALADSHOP It was a really cool funky fashion show. I was working with as a model with a modeling troupe at the time. Wish I had those old videos--was a good time in the club scene. Much better than now---just fun, dancing and drinking (moderately--LOL) the nite away---miss it! Thanks ---

  • Like Jack Webb was a cop and it made Dragnet great, Dennis Farina was also a cop, in Chicago , and dealt with the people they had in the series. Paulie was even a real ex-con he knew. Both acted out characters they knew.

  • its the fuckin best at series

  • Dennis Farina is so cool! Or at least was in the eighties when I was young. What is he doing now? Haven't seen him in any movie lately?

  • I saw him Guy Ritchie's Snatch last. Also I think he was at Saving Private Ryan in a small role.

  • This was one of my favorite shows in the 80s. It never quite seemed to "belong" once it moved out to Vegas...though it did lead to one of the most original season cliffhangers in TV history!

FYI, this version of "Runaway" was a 1986 re-recording of the original song by the original artist, Del Shannon--a talented and troubled artist who, tragically, killed himself about two years later.

  • alguien me puede decir donde la puedo bajar o algo asi?

  • como se chama o nome da banda??

  • del shannon.... a musica é runaway

  • man ..i miss the 50's ..nice suits, nice ties!

love the hats! ..why don't we men use hats anymore ?..hope they comeback ..someday ..back

then you can feel more of a.. ajem..cough..man! ,with those suits!..and a lady look more like a lady !..nowadays..i don't know...sigh...

  • One of the greatest shows EVER.

  • Yeah, today we have 20th season of Lost when no one knows WTF is going on. Michael Mann should consider creating a new film noir-like crime show. In climate of Miami Vice 2006, or in the style of Crime Story

  • What has happen to tv? This show was the shit!

  • Classic

  • muy buena historia ......cuando la tele era familiar
