I fell asleep watching Spiderman then when i woke up half asleep this movie was on. And i woke up on disturbing Images like that dead girl. So i was like wtf?
@jude999 I think your're right. To me it is the best film scene ever. No way to discribe my feelings about this little peace of art. Everything that cinema is able to create is in it.
Goin' to Acapulco Goin' on the run Goin' down to see that girl Goin' to have some fun It's not a bad way to make a living And I ain't complainin' none Well, I can blow my crumb and drink my rum And then go on home and have my fun Goin' to Acapulco Goin' on the run Goin' down to see that girl Goin' to have some fun Yeah Goin' to have some fun
Really appreciate your in-depth comment and correction. Here I can offer you one newer version of lyrics with some minor corrections captured from online subtitle website for comparison. But at 2:07 this version still conforms to "that girl", not "fat gut". For posting limitation of 500 characters, I will post into different areas.
you made a LOT of small errors on the lyrics, some of them I'm not sure of either,b/c if you know anything about Dylan he tends to change things ever so slightly in concert, and Idk if Jim James took some of the same liberties, but the second corus is definitely as the guy said, "fat gut" as in the original, and he's not scratchin for his meals, he's scratchin for his meat,a more primal statement. The others I don't want to list b/c I don't wanna make representations of fact when im not sure
this part of the film was about when dylan went into hiding especailly after his motor bike accident to get away from all the media. they used the old western style as it was a big favorite of dylans. gere was supposed to be billy the kid and the man on the stage at the end with the beard was supposed to be pat garret
i never understood what this whole portion of the movie was about and how it related to dylan at all besides the music. one of his best songs and an even better version then the original
Respect someone with inferior English ability who needs subtitles; appreciate my work of adding subtitles which takes time and slight computer knowledge. you may choose not to watch this clip or choose others' similar clips which by the way are lots of them on Youtube.

This movie is underrated here in Germany! This is a terrible country for people listening to Dylan music and watching good movies, believe me!
Great song, great scene, great movie! Peace!

I'm going down to Rose Marie's
She never does me wrong
She puts it to me plain as day
And gives it to me for a song
It's a wicked life but what the hell
Don't everybody's got to eat
And I'm just the same as anyone else
When it comes to scratchin for my meat

Whats with the subtitles, takes away from the video.

I don't think so. I think for those who don't know the words might actually understand it more. It's definitely not a minus.

Amazing sequence. One of my favorite film scenes of all time. Like an acid Western. Reminds me a bit of Dead Man.
