Sorry to bother you but, I hope you can help me:) I have a friend who is hard of hearing (but can talk) and needs to use TTY on the same cell phone as u. I am hearing and have never used it.
How does it work? Do you require a special device/ cable to attach if your cell phone company offers TTY? If yes, what is it and where do you get it? How do you recieve a call-does it come up as a text mssg? If they call someone who can hear , how do they get the call? Any info would be great:-D
Yes, your friend would have to buy a cord to connect to the tty. I called my cell phone provider and they had no idea where to get such a cord. I never did buy one because I just text to my friends. I recommend looking into a Deaf device store. There is one through Ebay or you can do a Google search. Send them an e-mail on the type of phone and they can recommend which cord to buy.
