I'm thankful that I finally found the lyrics to this song. I rememberd the chorus line, but that was all I could remember. Learned it as a child, but time has taken it's toll on my memory. I do wish that people could walk along together, as we done when I was a child. The Stanley Brothers are the original singers, but who cares who sings it, it's the message behind the song.
