  • 55,555 Views lolol

  • Great piece, but what language is that? garglian ??

  • 3 people really dont want to be woken up right now!

  • 1 man is in limbo whith mal

  • edith piaf is legend...

  • I loved how easily the film, whenever it played this song, could make the audience go, "Oh crap...GOGOGOGO"

  • 1 person I think is in LIMBO

  • One person didn't feel the kick.

  • and the music slowed down is the films theme music....!!! amazing :)

  • this song is shit without Inception

  • @djmikeaaronr ROFL

  • The kick is one big mistake they made in the movie... wouldn't the song be in slow motion because the brain processes the music faster. It doesn't make sense the music plays in real time when their dream makes time seem slower.

  • @kurodog Try listening to the song in slow motion ;)

  • @kurodog well probably not since the song is happening in the level with real time just like whenever theyre shaken, the earthquake, or whatever, happens in real time. What do you think?

  • @kurodog actually like that other guy said if you play it slow it sounds like "half remembered dream"... and if you think about it have you ever fallen asleep while listening to music? if you have you mightve notice like i did that the music played at normal spped in my mind...it even played once when i had a dream...it just played once though and then i forgot all the rest of the music that played...dreams are an odd thing.

  • @kurodog Its true but for the conscious mind. So things like being inside the dream, talking, going place etc will be faster. The music is heard and is under the subconscious

  • Edith Piaf is the woman who originally sung the song. It's an interesting choice because Marion Cotillard actually plays her in the historical drama surrounding Piaf's life and death.

  • People who knew about this song after inception only make mi sick

  • @FigarollaAbusiva

ma sir get over your self.

what kind of strange elitism are you playing at?

  • @FigarollaAbusiva

What kind of strange elitism are you playing at with this comment?

Who gives a F)$k when or how someone learned about the song. instead i think you should be pumped that it has gotten the exposure is has. As a result of the movie more people are into what you might think is good music. sorry if we are stepping on your sense if individualism by liking "your" song. Now, if your are speaking on how music has become a fetish in our culture a la the aesthetics of Adorno then say it

  • @powderdream

    Butthurt?!

  • @FigarollaAbusiva lol you smelly italian bitch go take a shower

  • @gman1876

    you better gtfo faggot

  • me n my brother wer down stairs watching tv n i had this tab open up stairs wen sumone disturbed it resume playin .. me n my bro started trippin too epic lol

  • the 1 dislike needs a kick. IN THE ASS

  • @xRossxALF a swift kick

  • @xRossxALF Rotlmao!

  • lol wow, just noticed. thanks for the thumbs up everybody. haha

  • @xRossxALF Agreed

  • @xRossxALF make that 5 dislikes

  • @DirectorOfAllTimes hahah me too. a few hours later i will hear this song again when i have to stand up

  • Wow. If you didnt know this song before the movie.

    Your a fu***n moron.

    No offence

  • @madogmgd ....and why is that? there is so much music out there sometimes it's hard to find everything, you should probably be thankful that this was used in the movie if you like it so much. So that people who haven't heard it before can be indulged in it's beautiful melody.

  • lol, the pic at 0:50 XD does no one else find that funny?

  • @AntaraSinha123 If you saw the movie you'd know what the scene was about.

  • @madogmgd I did see the movie, I just think the picture is funny. for someone who hasn't seen the movie, it looks like he committed multiple murders and got walked in on. XD

  • It is wonderfully sneaky in the choice of song...This song is all about how she has no regrets, getting on with life, not dwelling on the past. This contrasts beautifully and subtly with the fact that Cobb is always full of regret and his whole life and even existance, is based on his past and regret.

    5 stars!

  • OMLLETE DU FROMAJE!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "No...Its too soon"

  • @totaketheblack well it actually (litterally: no: it's i don't regret this, or in english, no i do not regret) learn it xp

  • the 'r' rolling at the start makes you want to clear your throat >_<

  • so, the 'Kick Tune' is just 'Non, je ne regrette rien' slowed down.. I thought Nolan used this (great) song just cause Marion Cotillard played Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose (and won the oscar for best actress) but apparently not... the kick tune is just a slowed down version of piaf's song, and that makes sense since time goes by slower in the dreams and that's why we hear that dramatic Vruuuum Vruuuummm (lol)

  • I absolutely love this song. It's powerful and touching at the same time.

But what shocks me about the whole thing is that there are so many people who only "discovered" this song because of Inception (don't get me wrong, I adore that movie!). I'm 19 and not even French, but I've known this song since I was a young child.

  • @pen0neth does that make you cool or something? you dumb faggot, everyone has to hear a song from somewhere unless you wrote it. did you write this?

  • @gman1876 I just mentioned how sad it is that in our times everybody is like : oh, it's that french song from Inception! (-> and only some know it's the wonderful and famous song which already existed for decades!)

By the way: you think calling somebody a "dumb faggot" is cool or a real insult? Being gay is not an insult. If you think so, then you're the only "dumb faggot" around here. And I'm female, I can't be a faggot. Better shut your hateful, ugly gob and think before you speak.

  • @pen0neth

that makes perfect sense. you're a fat teenage bitch who thinks you can prove to youtube how you're smarter than anyone because you 'knew' this song before inception, which obviously makes you better than everyone.

of course people say 'is that the song from inception' its the only thing they have to relate to it, and they dont speak french so they wont know the name. now i know this probably hurt your feelings so go eat another tub of 'comfort' ice cream

  • @gman1876 dude your reply makes sense, but you don't go insulting the person. That's called being a troll. Personally if you left off the faggot the fat bitch and all the other slander spooling from your mouth. you'd have a reasonable and well thought out comment...she might've actually respected your opinion. By the way you type, your either a fucked up little 8 yr old, or a 13-15 yr old boy who wasn't brought up how to treat a lady. Pick up a book on chivalry; it aint dead

  • @Ducklord444 Good job man, maybe she'll be your gf online now. Fucking dumb faggot, learn how/when to use periods and commas you braindead homosexual

  • @gman1876 Well thought out comment. Of course I know how to be grammatically correct. But we are in a little world called the internet! So sue me. Call the grammar nazis on my ass. Plus, I'm not the perv whose profile pic is panties. Say hi to your mother for me, or does she only come down to the basement to bring you your glucose and Mountain Dew on Saturdays?

  • @Ducklord444 so...... to summarize... you're a huge faggot?

  • @gman1876 yes a good summary of that statement is "YOU are a huge faggot"

  • @Ducklord444 good one, faggot

  • its kinda spooky =O

  • No Regets

  • babe pig in the city

  • @bboyMojo2590 lol, I remember!

  • This is my new ringtone!

  • Wen is the kick time?

  • ohhh shit its time...

  • This is one of two songs I think of now when I think of waking up songs in movies. The Other? "I've Got You, Babe" from Groundhog Day. Am I right? Thumb up if you agree

  • You remember me? I'm your security down here.

  • the film rocks all ui saw the primier i was totaly flashed and this song kicks in the new version the hole crowt

  • I hope this will be the menu music for the DVD

  • @Nardril FAIL

  • the director recently told the people why he chose this song..

    it's quiet amazing.

the director said when this song title 'Non, je ne regrette rien' is really stretched and slowed, it sounds like 'half remembered dreams' which relates to the movie.

    I think that was amazing

  • @ioveyouahaha [citation needed]

  • great story, great actors, great filming, GREAT MOVIE

  • everything about this film was awesome, and this song for the realisation of the kick was excellent gd choice of song

  • haha the headphones kick XD

  • How do I get this as a ringtone?

  • How to I get this as my ringtone?

  • It's my alarm clock signal :D

  • I just listened to this at 1/5th speed (x 0.20) ... FREAKIEST THING EVER. Seriously... try it - it reveals the origin of the Inception theme.

  • thank u for posting this song! this piece will always be remembered.

  • On the itunes store there are countless versions/recordings/mixes of this song. Anyone know where you can get the precise version used in Inception?

  • @Futurecast i used the first one that popped up, its the longest and most popular, it sounds the same as this just with better quality :]

  • im gonna put this on my ipod, the just randomly play it through some speakers at my friends house, and be like, can you hear that? see if he remembers it.

  • My current alarm tone. Thanks inception, i've been hoping to change my alarm tone for so long, this is great inspiration LOLOLOL!

  • ily <3 :)

  • There's a hidden theme song when you actually slow down the song. Check it out. It's not spam or anything. It's kinda creepy actually. just look up "Inception hidden theme music in the kick " on youtube.

  • wtf ?

  • I use this song as my alarm clock now.

  • @spork24601 That's insane because I searched this song to do EXACTLY that :)

  • @spork24601 me too haha

  • @spork24601

but don't miss your kick :P

  • @spork24601 wow, that's an excellent idea!

  • Comment removed

  • @spork24601 Haha that's a fucking awesome idea.

  • @spork24601 So do I

  • @spork24601 mee too!!!!! since now ^^

  • @whywhyman This is the version from the movie; it's sung by Marion Colliard, who played Mal in the movie, so in a way it allowed Mal's shadow to be hung over the movie eerily and subtly, and it can also symbolize Dom's lack of regrets at the end of the movie.

  • Love how this song operates on more than one level in the film !

  • @BabyAngelJojo They slow it down for each level too. It's weird.

  • @Tracibop7 Yehhh thats weird they have the same beat.. I also meant that Non, je regrette rien.. Literally translates as no I dont regret anything, which is what Leo Dicaprio has to do in order to keep Mal (or Marion Cotillard) out of his dreams... and weird that of course Cotillard was Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose

  • :) thanks for Uploading, but the Version played in the Movie that ECHO & Opera-ish its mind blowing & gave me Goose Bums !!!

Can i get that Version ?

  • @whywhyman It's on youtube.

    The video is called:

"Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" from "Inception".mov

  • this song fits in perfectly with the movie, too. I can't get it out of my head! lol

  • interesting fact: marion cotillard plays Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose! such beautiful correlation.

  • @choc0haim i heard she almost wasn't cast for this movie just because of that.

another interesting fact: joseph is really fucking hot in a suit.

    just sayin.

  • @lucyinthesky16 I think it was the other way around; they almost changed the song, not the actress. I can't imagine Inception without Cotillard...she was amazing.

  • @lucyinthesky16 Indeed, he is. ;)

  • @lucyinthesky16 indeed he was. i drooled the whole time (metaphorically speaking)!

  • Comment removed

  • @choc0haim

And She even got an Oscar for Her performance in this movie.

  • @StriderEstel yes she did; she portrayed edith piaf beautifully!

  • Comment removed

  • @choc0haim they decided on this song before casting her and once they did Nolan really wanted to remove this song but it stuck. I wonder if she cared at all...haha

  • @choc0haim wierd right?,,,nolan knew that

  • @choc0haim That's exactly what I was thinking! When I heard this song in the movie I automatically flashed back to my French class where we had to watch that movie. Interesting coincidence.
