i remember listening to her songs, when i was induty, in the UNIFIL, in lebanon, her songs makes me human when madness and caos was around me,, well done anne murray
I was not born Canadian but Ecuadorian and 45 years old but loved these songs since 1975 I remember. I love Anne Murray. I guess to some comments, nobody sings like in the old times, nobody writes like in the old times. Lyrics are now very fluffy I may be wrong but old time songs are more stuffy and very well written and deep...my personal opinion like I said I could be wrong...
fabulous video..i am a 45 yr old born & bred Canadian, grew up listening to and still listen to Anne Murray and never once have I seen her in concert, pretty sad..maybe i should be thrown out of Canada.. lol
They finally made you turn off your camera! Too bad and thanks moneytalking, I loved this. Teary eyed when she sang what seems to be an NS anthem and had the fans join in near the end. Anne has aged with dignity and I'm so sorry she's retired now, but no one can go on forever. She's had a good innings.
What a great concert. I had forgotten just how many amazing hits she had. I loved seeing her play guitar. I don't think I'd ever seen that before. Thanks for posting.
My husband and I saw her in November 1993. Her show was great. Such great talent. All she has to do is open her mouth and a beautiful sound comes pouring out. Her shows are always so intertaining and never a nasty word is spoken. Real class.
What a wonderful lady great sound and love Snowbird had a personal connection my cousins daughter from NB was her children's "nanny" many yrs back.. small world
unfortunately, and from what i pick up from anne's comments, this may have been the Snowbird's farewell concert. but as she herself says: "ya never know..."
I respect other people's opinion so I'm not going to say anything about bigdjindustriez comments. Truth is Ann Murray's voice brought us and others lots of memories. That can't be changed.

Yeah great memories. Like how she never wrote a song in her life, but had Gene McLellan write them all and never gave him any credit, then he killed himself. Ahh great memories.
Murray always gave McLellan credit for his songwriting. She mentioned his name numerous times in her concerts, even more so after his death. And Murray came from an era when singers didn't have to write their own songs.
I don't think I have ever seen Anne perform without mentioning Gene. Furthermore, the royalties he would have earned from Snowbird and Put Your Hand in the Hand among others would have been substantial. Not really sure about the bitterness of bigdj.... how many songs have you written and recorded? Further Anne has been a strong supported of Canadian produced music for decades and TRUE Canadian! Oh yeah and a proud fellow Nova Scotianer :)
actually bigdindustriez, if you've ever watched or listened her Duets CD and interview, you will see that she talks about Gene quite extensively. and she did all the way through her career. i wish some of you anne critics would do your homework, please.
it is an amazing singer!

I would love to hit her in the face with a BIG PIE!.
The MOST STUCK up Performer to EVER walk on a Stage.
I went to take a picture of her and a cop threatened to arrest ANYONE coming CLOSE to the stage. Ms MURRAYS ORDERS.
The fair workers said she was down righ UNFRIENDLY with them.
the MOST unfriendly performer they ever saw!.

Nobody sings love songs like Anne Murray does. I heve been a big fan of her since 1970's. And now, I am also a big fan of her daughter Dawn.

Her daughter has a great voice - and she sings properly - Anne sings from her throat - her daughter sings properly from her diaphram . .
