Fitch has not encountered anyone as strong and athletic as GSP. There's alot of talk about the "Sanchez win" but that's not exactly a showcase for anyone's skills. Sanchez was/is a small Welter and GSP is not. There's no way Fitch escapes a sub if GSP gets in it deep like Sanchez, no way.

Watch the Sanchez fight again and you'll see Fitch looking very slow and almost unsure one the mat.

Koscheck has beat Fitch more than once in wrestling spars. GSP controlled Koschek amost with ease.
