I agree, but as much as I can I try to tear down the barriers of the adversarial model that drives this forum and try to get at the truth. I only wish to treat all people like people and for them to treat me the same. That sets the stage for a good opportunity to share the gospel and they can either receive Christ or reject Him, but hopefully they won't reject Him because they are rejecting me. The adversarial model puts me too much under the light of scrutiny rather themselves and the gospel.

About the fact that Islam does seem more violent today than Christianity, well yes, but as you said yourself i'd bring up, in history christians have done similiar things... And even if YOU think it's wrong according to you, they were just as much christians as you are and they did it because of christianity, therefore it's just as much christianity as the murders bu muslims today are islam.

Hello, i am an ahteist and i will try not to start a debate, since you said you dislike doing them. However i will do my best at answering some of what you've said in a short form so that you might understand my position.
I realize the scripture you read said not to fight by the flesh... but debates are not of the flesh they're of the mind, and jesus also told you to always be ready to answer any questions about your religion.
I have already tried talking with people. That is your opinion, just a while taking you will know. You can tell by what is coming out from their mind and heart, be it atheism, or whatever subject matter.
I am always ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within me, but I shouldn't argue. I'll state my position, I'll proclaim the gospel and let the Spirit do His work. I can't argue anyone into the faith and even if I do they won't last. Too much of the church does that and it's one reason why the church has so many problems today.
There is no argument because science is kicking religion's arrogant ass into well-deserved oblivion. :)
