Wow! It's kinda fun to hear this song the way MILLIONS of british teens did back in the fall of '63: On an original mono 45 RPM Parlophone pressing. I guess to make it an even more authentic experience, You'd need an old-style portable phonograph, with the fat, heavy tonearm, cheap needle and built-in Mono speaker. Then you'd really get a glimpse of how those original, first-generation UK Beatles fans heard their sh*t. All in all, Good work, Vinylrecordboy!
It may be the belt. Is there a way to adjust the speed, some tables let you speed it up or slow it down by adjusting the incoming current to the motor.
@rdeco73 yes because back then they knew how to compress a song and how to play an instrument... everyone added his little things while playing the sintruments that's why it sounds so full and natural same with motown music...
Not rare this one really 'Rock' if you want it even on a U.K. first pressing like this- it sold like hot cakes ; 4 straight weeks at no.1 in the U.K. charts in Sept. '63 after bucket loads of advanced orders & a SECOND 2 week stint back at no.1 in U.K. charts in November to be replaced only by the Christmas '63 no.1 single the NEW Beatles release 'I want to hold your hand' no.1 for 5 weeks into Jan.'64 ! You'll get it on EBay for a couple of bucks !

My record player plays my records half a key higher then it should. I've opened it up and everything looks fine. Is it the belt?

@SpideyFan1 - Could be the belt, but you'd really have to go to someone who REALLY knows about Phonographs. Could be anything!! Sorry :-(
