I'm 50 and rode the Swamp Fox roller coaster, by the Pavillion, when I was around 18. They closed it down some years ago, but kept the remainder of the park open until they demolished the Pavillion.

You are thinking of the Swamp Fox which is still around. It was built sometime in the 60's by John Allen.

lucky u got to go on that. i went to myrtle beach last year and i went to another ammusment it was a small one though my bff did tell me about this one but she did say it closed down...damn...but still the other roller coaster i went on was awesome it said it was the 8th best wooden roller coaster in the world

No its not that scary I rode it back in the day it was fantastic. That was 1981. Now move ahead to the present and if it was still up and operational. Damn right I would do it again. This is 1 Cat 5 storm I don't mind being in. The music track to the vid fits.
