in 9th grade i watched this video and undestood every thing,now in 10th grade i forgot it and my exam is tomorrow so i kept searching for this video thnx god i found it :D
If your equation is y = 0.29x + 9, that would be a yes. 29/100 doesn't reduce. Rather icky equation. I suggest changing your x and y values to 10's and not 1's so it would fit on your graph.
Strange equations like this are not so nice for beginning students. You are more likely to see this type of equation in a business class. Hope that helps.
this come right out of my grade 11 text book. i'm taking it through corrospondents. im sort of self teaching with the help of youtube, and your videos.
i'm just wondeirng what i do with the 9, do i just leave it there or do i have to put that over 100 aswell?
@picrustable MY problem is x-3y=9 ans I switched it around to make the y come first like you are supposed to do. It now reads y=3x-9, would before the 3x come a negative sign(-)??? So is the problem lik correct now the way it is?
what would i do if i alredy hav 1.5 as my slope

I need help with a question. :\
"This bridge can be represented by this equation
h=-1/144x(squared) + 5/6x, where x is the horizontal distance and h being height above the water"
How the hell do I graph that.

this is an equation from my grade 10 text book so what would i get if my equation is 2x+y=12 and 3x - 2y=18?
berrysexplosion 2 years ago
okay well my equation is y=.29x+9
so how do i get .29 into a whole number?
MrBlackDeath69 2 years ago
0.29 means 29 hundredths... so a fraction for 0.29 would be
29/100
(This would not be a whole number because it is your slope.)
It works for any decimal, just determine the place value of the last number of the decimal.
Okay, well, there you go. :-)
picrustable 2 years ago
@picrustable so i would rise 29 and run 100?

MrBlackDeath69 2 years ago
@picrustable so should I end up with this
y= 20/100 + 900
or do I just leave the 9 as a nine?
MrBlackDeath69 2 years ago
MrBlackDeath69
Leave the 9. I would reduce the fraction so that it is easy to see rise over run.
