Hey, man! Someone stole my video! I made this and it's posted under my monicker: massmanx. And David J was not in Tones on Tail. He is a great bass player, but much purer and more straightforward than Glenn Campling--who plays bass in Tones and also did a lot of synth work. And I'm really not a "spanko." I just got the idea when I was listening to the song one day, and I'm a cinephile who knew there were a lot of spankings in movies. I researched and found more.

I don't think David J was in Tones on Tail. According to wikipedia, it was a side project by singer/guitarist Daniel Ash and drummer Kevins Haskins. David J's not mentioned.

God David J is just amazing. That guy has written some of the best bass lines ever (Double Dare, Spirit and No Big Deal come to mind). Being a bass player I always look for bass lines that make me take notice. Not just some lame-o obvious line that pumps 8th note roots. My other favorite bass players include Les Claypool, Youth and Raven from Killing Joke and my all time favorite Mark Sandman of Morphine.
