I love Rambo 2, Rocky 4, Commando, Return of the Living Dead, Jewel of the Nile, Back to the Future, Prizzi's Honor, Police Academy 2, A View To A Kill, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Ladyhawke, Fright Night, Weird Science, Desperately Seeking Susan and Transylvania 6-5000.
I would add Fool For Love, Harem, Re-Animator, Trancers, King Solomon's Mines, Vision Quest to this list
Top 10 favorite movies of 1985: 10. Jewel of the Nile 9. Code of Silence 8. Rocky 4 7. Rambo: First Blood part 2 6. Witness 5. Day of the Dead 4. Fright Night 3. Death Wish 3 2. Return of the Living Dead 1. Back to the Future
The only problem is that the poster doen't pick time-appropriate music. Many 80's music fans HATE current music! I would had used either "A View To Kill", "St. Elmo's Fire Theme", or "The Power Of Love" as background music for this year's films.
What a great year...My favorite year in the 80's...I was 7 years old and a little know concert called Live Aid was taking place in Philly and London that year...You know some other 85 movies, The Legend of Billie Jean, Just One of the Guys, Krush Groove and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!
@YellowJacketY2J - Thanks for the memories. I actually remember going to the cinema for some these movies with friends and aquaintences.
Re-animator was the craziest.

The fucked up thing about it is that 95% of these classics will be remade because Hollywood is so damn unoriginal. 80-89 FTW!

Weird Science... "What do you little sex maniacs want to do first?" :-)
"A View to a Kill" probably had the best song for a Bond movie after Live and Let Die.
