It's freaking tragic what they have done to this movie -- although the VHS version is the one I most remember and enjoy, the VHS/DVD/TV versions are all essentially different versions with different scenes in each......Why?
Their needs to be a true release of this movie with EVERY scene from every format; it should have happened years ago.
The director of Ace Ventura is quoted saying that "when in doubt, cut it out." He should've at least included these on the DVD. I wish somebody would restore them into the movie. It is the best Jim Carrey movie of all time. It is because this is before Jim truly went "hollywood" and was a household name. He had to earn every laugh and every joke!
You're incorrect. This scene did not exist in the original theatrical version of the movie. Ace did not even make a pit stop at a gas station anywhere in the same version.
You obviously didn't pay attention. I said this scene was not in the "theatrical" version of the film. Someone who has not seen Ace Ventura in a long time assumed this scene existed in the final cut, when in reality it didn't.
@Rawk4Life well you didnt pay attention to my comment either. i was talking about 0:24-0:29. and even though it was NOT part of the theatrical version i did see it in the televised version. televised versions are often known for playing material that did not make it in the theatrical version.
Yeah, I just saw this showing on TV and this scene (along with every other "deleted scene" here) was in it...this was the first time I've ever watched this movie all the way through, so I didn't know any different. Great movie!
yeah i have the tv version on my ipod but none of the ones on the internet have the original scenes, TBS slightly trimmed them. nothing big, but ace honks his horn one more time violently and theres a last shot of the gas station attendant. i think #3 is slightly trimmed as well.
Ah right, I had no idea they had been trimmed since the original airing. I can tell that they were edited though, due to the audio track jumping (and people speaking/replying too fast in some scenes) just thought that they were originally broadcast like that.
If you have the full un-trimmed ones, please post them so I'm able to watch ALL of them.. So sad that my DVD didn't contain good deleted scenes like Jim carrey singing on stage and snowflake getting the gun... Please post them if it shows all the deleted scenes' action lyke the one you say Ace horning more violently..Thanks
Why dont they just re-release the movie on unrated dvd?

I love how this scene replaces the sex scene in the movie when it's played on like.. peach tree tv or something to "censor it"

I wonder if everyone in Collier County had huge dicks like Ray Finkle... I wonder because everyone there had mental illnesses like Ray Finkle.
