I feel bad about starting so late, but I'm going to see just how far I can get with 50k. I've a project I've been working on that I will use for the first bit, if that's legal. :P
4 people spend their days inside small offices eating high in cholestoral foods and repeatedly hitting the dislike button. you may prevail for NOW but soon you will be voldemort and we will be harry in the last half hour of harry potter and the deathly hallows part TWO
How can 4 people not like this. I hope they are not NaNo people, for shame if they are. Yes we were promised Wizards but..NaNoWriMo + OLL are great regardless.
1:28 "Once upon a time there was an office called the Office of Letters and Light, and there were, indeed, many lights and even more letters inside..." Well, at least no wizards.
Good luck to everybody!!!! I observe NaNoPlaDa tomorrow. ;D I would donate, but I'm not sure my mother would be into that, plus she's not really supporting me this year.
@ninaelle2003 A lot of people go down as support workers rather than scientists. It's actually pretty common to spend free time working on novels and other long creative projects-- after all, you don't have many distractions!
Why wait until I'm 18? Forcing my parents to donate on my behalf :) This is my fifth year; when I'm rich and epic, I'm giving you guys half my salary. I love the NaNoWriMo program with all of my heart <3 <3 <3
@sunpeachmooncream A lot of countries have research stations in Antarctica. I've had a couple of friends participate in NaNo while stationed at McMurdo, and I'm sure there are lots of others who do, too. What else are you going to do during your free time? You can only play so much ping-pong. :)
@sunpeachmooncream Big foot had to move south the polar bears were are cross breeding and despite the news have increased in population by 20%. So, they have chosen to move down to Antarctica which means No Bears! (Really look it up.) They found there were tons of climbers and porters to eat. That is why so many people disappear each year down there.
I just have one question: who the hell disliked this?
And also, I would donate, but sadly, I have a shortage of the ''moolah'' right now, so I'll cut you a deal: If I become a bestselling author, I'll credit nano and donate tons. Deal? I thought so.

Awesome! I didn't finish NaNoWriMo last year, and heck, probably won't this year either, but I'm sure going to have fun trying! Keep up the great work OLL!
@AsDarkFalls I know you'll all hate me, but I'm one of those who disliked this video. I disliked it because I love NaNoWriMo and this is not a well done spot. The animation is poorly done, and the whole thing could have been much better. I hope the work was donated. I disliked it because NaNoWriMo and the Office of Letters and Light deserve something better than this. Kill me in your novels if it makes you feel better, but that won't change my wish for something better next year.
I'm donating again this year! The Office of Letters and Light has done more for me than I can tell, and I'll give every year as long as I am able too! :D

@Exayevie Haha I know right? Anywho, I love NaNoWriMo. This is my second year and I LOVE IT!!!! Can't wait to drink coffee and write until the midnight oil has long since been burned away. Happy writing everyone!!!!!! :DD
You've done a great job with the video, I will be donating on friday. I'm a first year NaNo participant, and think that Office of Letters and Light are doing a great job!
I agree with KathyGab -- add closed captions. Go to VITAC.com and they will tell you how for a reasonable cost. It's worth it. Deaf people like to write too.
I just happened upon the NaNoWriMo site and decided on a whim, 'Why not - give it a try' so I signed up to do it this year. I'm more than aprehensive about the outcome but I'm determined to give it my best shot. I love to read and love the entire scope of your project and will happily donate to the cause.

I'm helping! One search at a time for a penny per search. I really like that you have a "How to donate when your broke" section on NaNo. Very cute movie.
Nice-looking movie! I'll donate again this year, of course. But this movie, like all the ones I saw here last year, had no closed captions. You don't make so many movies that'd it would be a huge burden to add them. I've mentioned this to you guys before. Deaf people need what you do every bit as much as hearing folks.
@KathyGab did you try the transcribe feature on here? It's by no means perfect, but gets the point across perfectly fine for this video. As the other videos aren't on YT, I don't know the captioning process for them.
