  • @yohvh What is the point of your comment and why are people repeating it?

  • @Elhardt It is the site where dutch people found a link to your video. It's nothing offensive, just people trying to get thumbs up by having people agree with from where they came to this.

  • @Elhardt

its a comedy site and dutch. if they post a link youll get a spam of "Dumpert"s

  • @Elhardt thats an video site. i wanted to know how much folks from that site where here also. (this link whas into an comment.)

  • @Elhardt dumpert

  • @Elhardt I think it means "Dutch fakkets"

  • To all uptight jazzers- this vid isn't about jazz, it's about how flexible Bach is...you can stretch his music into electronics, swing rhythm, bebop vocals, guitar solos, ect....it never breaks or grows old.

If you listen, the Bach here bears an uncanny resemblance to Dixieland...take THAT, Wynton Marsalis!

  • lol jazz nerds attacking the band geeks. how cute.

  • @supernerd1300 Jazz? Nerds?? Are you feeling well, because for wat i know james morrinson and louis armstrong are not nerds : |

  • @cooljazz1997 thats the adorable thing about jazz people; they think there so cool but theyre just as geeky as the rest of us. embrace the nerdiness, i mean no insult, i consider it the highest compliment

  • It's Good!

Myy babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MI GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD GO GO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FATHER MATHER AND THE WOLR ENTERO

  • @nastyxerez wtf the fuck did you say?

  • oh my gosh, Jazz Horn is the best sound in the world... :)

  • Copy and paste: "BBC Proms / Gustavo Dudamel & SBYOV / Symphonic Dances from Leonard Bernstein's West Side"

  • well this is awesome

  • Thanks-- UTube for bringing us this beautiful music.

  • one of the best bands of all time.

  • That's cool, that they had nearly the same idea as I had : ))

except some notes in the end, but your version is cool, too ; )

Thanks a lot to them for to let us hear the idea

and thanks to you for to post it here

  • Nice to see you again Fred. Say hi to Mel.

  • My favorite dorks on the planet :)

  • sem comentarios

  • Why does justin Beiber's name always show up on good music. I'm a little tired of it. -.- Stop being noobs and just let him do his stuff and we can just enjoy our stuff.

  • sumamente hemoso maestros?.

  • thumb up for the tuba

  • This is almost an insult to jazz musicians. They can play their horns, but...

  • @rdangelo your uploads are an insult to any musician. you can play a c, but...

  • @expertizzlist obviously my sense of humor is over your head, as in the "high C" video. let me try to explain. You see, all over youtube, trumpet players are showing off their chops. My videos make fun of them. Did you really not get that? They are satire. I actually play professionally, so, yeah, I can play a bit more than "C".

  • @rdangelo humor? a video that's called circular breathing and then goes to 0dB on the ears? you're really a comedic genius! what an educated sense of humor... a musician that puts people's hearing in danger is just... ridiculous

  • @expertizzlist goes to 0dB on the ears? What the fuck does that mean. BTW, in addition to being a professional trumpet player, I'm also an audiologist, so I'm literally an expert on what puts people's hearing in danger. Gotcha again, Einstein...

  • @rdangelo oh you don't know what 0dB means? haven't been around a studio or a mic in a while, eh? not that i'm surprised... also, worst audiologist around. got me? yeah right... why don't you ask one of your elite trumpet pals to blow right in your ear? i mean, after all, its just air, right? sheesh...

  • they are great classical players...but they cant swing for shit

  • i dont think you watched the video...or listened to any of their jazz selections at all. They definatelty great at playing jazz

  • @solostrad they can play better than u...

  • @THETHIRDL2009 of course, i never said they werent....they are 1000x better than me. they are amazing classical players. at the same time, they cant swing very well. and dont give me that "swing is a type of jazz" bullshit. listen to louis armstrong. he plays dixieland, but he still swings the shit out of his trumpet, unlike these guys.

  • @solostrad listen to louis armstrong... i mean, i'm not going to have that conversation about who has it and who doesn't. but still ... they are playing bach!! its not like this piece was arranged for the odjb! if you swing it up, it resembles early jazz music. it doesn't mean its coming out just the same way

  • @solostrad Well swing is a form of jazz and they didnt even say they was swinging it..plus u just contradict ur self cuz the title says "Jazzed up Bach" not "Swinged up Bach" you pretty much insisted that they was swinging it humm????

  • So fun and exciting to watch. The Canadian Brass are a treat to watch.

  • this is swing not jazz

  • @ElPapasitoLopez swing is a style of jazz, simply put.

  • @Fifaboy5433 u r a dumbass. in order to play jazz, u need to swing. thats why rhapsody in blue ISNT jazz. and btw the last lick the trumpet player played was from rhapsody in blue

  • @solostrad Can you tell me where you can find swing in ragtime? bossa? ragtime is mostly straight eighths and bossa is a brazilian influenced style of jazz, also straight eigths, and your vehement presumption of me being a dumbass is very overconfident. You would not say that to a random person in the street, which is precisely what you did here, only you have the safety of a few RAID 5 hard drives. you might as well research something to support your argument or just not respond...

  • @ElPapasitoLopez ummm swing is a type jazz??? Duh

  • how amazing!

  • R.I.P Fred..

  • is jens lindeman there?

  • HOW AWESOME!!!

  • @DrBones2. You're an insult to jazz and you don't swing at all. Considering that it's a take on Bach, why do you have to hate on it?

  • @IanEColeman Wow. That's witty. You're witty.

I "hated on it" as you so eloquently put, because it's an insult to real improvised music. Nothing against Bach, he's the master, but this is just poxy.

  • @DrBones2. So jazz isn't jazz unless it's improvised? Anyway there is a difference between calling something jazz, and simply saying that it's been jazzed up. The way you're pretending to be so offended by a bunch of great brass players providing superior entertainment to 99% of popular media, forget jazz, I'm just wondering who jizzed all over your corn flakes this morning.

  • @indoctus41 As long as the music sounds good stupid, it's the music that matters, not what makes it. what about hip hop and rock?

  • @MXZEem :

Sorry. I haven't the foggiest idea what you're trying to say.

  • @indoctus41 They're the canadian brass, not the canadian jazz quintet of north america brass division. They don't claim to travel the countryside teaching unlearned, unsuspecting audience the intricate, time consuming history of jazz. They have fun playing covers and made a successful career out of it, good for them. Atleast it's better then people seeing Justin Beiber.

  • @GutturalSecrete420

Although they don't teach jazz ect, the canadian Brass has done a lot to foster musicianship in schools, they've written a number of books on how to play a brass instrument, and they've generally done a lot to support up-and coming musicians.

  • @indoctus41 "what jazz really is" is about as ignorant as you say this performance is... besides, the title is "Jazzed up Bach". Anyone would tell you that this version, compared to the original, is much "jazzier".

  • @indoctus41 your an arrogant asshole... jazz is everything.... it is not defined that is the point of jazz is that you can do anything with it...

  • TUBA WINS!!! im a tuba plaayer so GO TUBA!!!!

  • That was cool... trombone FTW!

  • Genial este grupo merece 100 estrellas

  • listen LA MAGIA DEL SAX by Minicillo

  • I love the Rhapsody in Blue coming in at the end! Bought a smile to my face.

  • Ahh those silly canadians XD

  • Ja, Ja, Jajajajajaja. Perfect. Great jazz version. I am excited

  • hes cool

  • Nice shoe-tap percussion!

  • fantastic, incredible, wonderful!

  • YES!

  • FRENCH HORN FOR THE WIN!

  • @Alkemedis23 Cornet for the win

  • I played trombone for a few years...definitely think the bigger mouthpieces are easier than trumpets and especially french horns....

I guess its whatever you get used to first!

Mind you I have the lips for the lower frequency "buzzing" you do in the larger mouthpieces...my muscles get sore when trying to buzz quicker for the high notes...I don't think I'd be able to play the trumpet!

  • @ CjGaughan- Yea, I started with Trumpet and its almost impossible for me to play trombone (lips too small and thin) can't even make a darn sound! But I can play trumpet quite well so I am good.

  • I play French horn along with Trombone Euphonium and Tuba. it just takes getting used to. I learn very quickly and adapt easily so i'm able to do all of them.

  • this is great!

...and it shows excellent control from Chuck Daellenbach near the beginning with the mouthpiece buzzing...it's perfectly in tune with no horn to help him....

..that, in itself, tells of countless hours of practice and unrelenting dedication to his art. : )

  • @thescribe13 I know! I'm a trumpet player and i recently started playing tuba for marching band and mouthpiece buzzing is very hard on a tuba mouthpiece

  • wow...i'm a trumpet player, too.

...i think my lips would explode if i attempted to play a tuba mouthpiece.

    best of luck to you!

  • @thescribe13 haha thanks. the mouthpiece is quite a shock to jump onto but after playing tuba for a while I found it really improved my breath control and air usage.

  • my friend played trumpet then learned french horn the melophone then sousaphone then tuba so i guess just work ur way up

  • cool.

    interesting thought...

a lot of people start either in the low range or high range and stay there in terms of instruments..and...i should note that the french horn mouthpiece is actually smaller than a trumpet mouthpiece, but i see where you're going with that.

If you don't already know about him, search Maynard Ferguson. He could play trumpet, trombone, baritone, and saxophone among several other instruments. it's all in the chops. : )

  • i listen to him play "locky" all the time

  • I think the stay in sections more. For instance I started with trumpet then I played baritone, tuba, and am currently playing trombone.

  • but my friend had a week to learn how to play tuba after playing the clarinet for 8 years

  • @thescribe13 Maynards music is beast my middle school band is playing a song by him im an 8th grade euphonium player =)

  • I find the contrary more difficult...

  • I'm a trombone player. Once I tryed to play with a trumpet mouthpiece. It was too small and I couldn't get sound of it. lol. High five for brass!

  • Try switching from a F-Horn, to a Tuba on a moments notice. Huge difference in the mouth piece. -High 5-

  • *high five, dudes* : )

  • low brass all day man!

  • Unorismo e intelligenza, uniti a una classe musicale indiscussa

  • Who wudda guessed ???? VERY nice.

  • nice shout to gershwin with the tag at the end :)

  • The Swingle Singers also connected Bach to jazz in the 60's. They do this same piece on You Tube.

  • SUPER

  • RIP Fred Mills

    Good music.

  • Hey, as someone who likes Bach I like this!

  • Really, the Bach Music

is more complicated which the jazz.

Because the German composer had that he think all music.

Was a man and the world.

  • nice

  • Wonderful Improvisation:) Denise

  • I wasn't expecting to like this, but it turned out to be pretty good.

  • The Canadian Brass are one of the reasons I can sometimes bring myself to believe there is some excuse for humans being on the planet. We do so many harmful things but then . . . . . . there is The Canadian Brass.

  • Well said my friend.

  • @MiramichierA1 I agree... although that's the way I feel about most Canadians.

  • lol my band plays jazzy tchaikovsky

  • you know, some people say that Bach was the first true original jazzist

  • Bop comes from Bach.

It's the impromptus, the beggining of Jazz...

  • I saw Billy Joel talking to a bunch of young students on a TV show years ago. He played a few bars, told them it was Bach and said Bach is the guy every musician wants to be.

  • Bach never was jazzist, now,

that the jazz has bach things is very different.

Imagina, say that Bach was jazzist is as say that

he created one style only. But Johann Sebastian

Was the musician more great of world, he never could make

    one music way.

  • square alert, square alert!

  • Jaja.

  • loved it!!

  • Yey! The ending sounds like Gershiwin's one from Rhapsody in Blue... Grat stuff!:D

  • nice playing and creative but i think Bach is rolling in his grave right now... this song is about feeling and peacefulness
