  • you know a lot of people who work at those places are just trying to help their parents out and help pay for the expensive schooling because they want an education not because they were just jocks just sayinnnn love kaku :)

  • The Western illusion that our world can be summarized in one equation.

  • "I tend to think that maybe the rumor got around that I was building a death ray in my mom's garage, so they stayed away from me"

Perfect way of doing that. Jocks try and annoy you, you remind them you built an anti-matter accelerator. Honestly I don't know how you can call that geeky, that's just raw genius.

  • this is so awsome! congrats on getting this interview

  • thay guy is so lucky to have a chat with Michio Kaku

  • The one dislike must be a jock who picked on geeks, and was getting ready for his shift at burger king.

  • This interviewer has issues man. Why would you say you go to burger king and laugh at the people who make your hamburger? I know it's true but keep it to yourself, it's a little creepy.

  • Holy shit and we watch some stuff and think its fake.

This guy was dealing with anti-matter at the age of 16, already did built a freaking cyclotron.

  • Every interview I find of hime he says the same story over and over and over..

  • @skating1611 because they keep asking him about the same story over and over and over...if the story was different every time...then his lying :)

  • Did you see Kaku's face when the guy interrupted him .. He was PISSED

  • Wait.. The atom smasher was a true story? I always tought he was trying to make an example..

  • @maloyculero nope =) its true.

  • Anyone know what kind of engineer Todd is? Just curious.

  • thats why einstein died, god didnt want anyone to know how to rule the world, lol

  • But eating lunch in the bathroom that's frickin disgusting.

  • Just a note to the interviewer....stay away from the poisonous fast food joints, I am having a hard time breaking my kids habits with these places myself at the moment. Making them a nice fresh wholesome one in 20 to 30 mins at home and getting them to help is much more fun :)

  • a bad-ass physicist - he's got the brains ... and a police record =) science IS cool!

  • if you are smart, why would u work at burger king it dont make any sense to me

  • @655432655432 He didn't say he worked at Burger King. He said people he went to high school with who bullied him did.

  • @TheSteady0 I know that of course,my msg was to the people telling that working on burger king has nothing to do with intelligency, sorry for the lack of meaning i should have respond to these people.:)

  • And plus it doesnt make sense. You were a geek and people picked on you cause you were weird. They judged you, now someone works at burger king and you replace them with the bully from your past and pass hate. Thats delusional and reminiscent of 12 angry men. Crucify someone just because their lower than you.You want someone to suffer like you did? An endless cycle of hate. This is why a college degree proves nothing about intelligence. The self accolade of a degree is insecurity and narcissism

  • @houdini650 He did acknowledge that the school environment breeds a social Darwinian atmosphere. We like to impose our subjective hierarchical strata onto reality, because humans are status seekers. That explains the existense of bullies, jerks, and popular badasses who hordes all the mates. and all the ones at the bottom (geeks, uglies or whatevr you wanna call them) is ignored or gets picked on because that's how such social system needs to be sustained. This is the immutable law of society.

  • The interviewer is a narcissist. he asserts his experience in the debate like it is valuable. And he said how he thinks he is smarter and better than the people who work at burger king. Because he was picked on and diligently went off to college. Which is contradictory; even Kaku contends that school systems are a bust. Not everyone at burger king is a jerk from high school nor anyone working at bk is an idiot. You never know where a genius may lie. My point is dont judge people!

  • michio's freaking hilarious!

  • @5:40 what is this? his counseling session?

  • "I was building a death ray...so they stayed away from me"

Yes I know, of all the things to quote or think, that's what i pick

  • i have a 9 inch equation

  • Michio Kaku is absolutley great ! He's the new Einstein !

  • Venus poject

  • pause at 4:11

  • I'm a big fan of Michio, but this interviewer is a dink.

  • oii hv u got anything against burguer king workers >:( lolll they r shit i know :P

  • 4:49 So true.

  • I had to thumbs-up part one, because it had Death Ray in it! ^^

  • I've heard about this Kaku child experiment several times now but never seen pictures of it.

  • @DanFrederiksen Okay, he's making it all up. He needs to make up stories about his childhood to seem like a better physicist. /sarcasm off

  • i dont thing that "pyramid" exists any more i just graduated high school last may, and high school was nothing like the movies. yea there were jocks, nerd, cool kids, and cheerleaders, but there werent any bullies, the whole school pretty much got along. i myself would probably be considered a nerd or geek but i was friends with some of the cutest girls and i was friend with some of the coolest guys in school. and it wasnt just me it was the same for most of the geeks

  • @brooklyn560 ya but, back then high school was different than today. michio was in high school probably in the 60s or the 70s.

  • I love his expression in 0:15 when "I want to ask you about your background", It looks like he's thinking "Oh shit!" before regaining composure.

  • My only issue is that so many scientists and engineers nowadays are pretty statist. They have a delusion the government can solve social and economic problems. I'm also pretty optimistic though, industry is advancing faster than almost any other time in history.

  • @reapfreak so ture.

  • @reapfreak You think of society as a system. Components of that systems manage different functions that comprises society. Under this premise, some people may also argue, against your point, that it is not in the interest of scientists and engineers to solve social problems.

  • @reapfreak Social and economic problems aren't really engineering problems. Making shit work are.

  • @reapfreak ironically enough, its going to be them thats going to destroy any need for a state. revolutions in technology make life better for everyone

  • @reapfreak i agree but i guess it because most scientists get their funding from the govt.... sucks doesn't it? only if politicians stopped spending money on bombs&oppression and gave more to science we could all live a little better and develop as a people... worst case scenario ZOMBIES!

  • @totaly1chris I obviously feel scientists get absolutely no tax funding, especially since most scientific funding is solely for the military. I don't know how so many researchers can sleep at night knowing their basic research is actually going towards genocide.

  • @totaly1chris nope, if the government does give more money to scientists we will end up with bad sciences. Remember we have good cars, but bad roads? Or good electronics, but bad energy source$? Or good brand new stuff everyday, but bad disposal of the old ones. Every time the government gets into the way, be it for the bad or the good, it does make things worse than before. What we need is freedom, free market for sciences.

  • @reapfreak you're right. And Many prospective ones (not to say most) would never do something like building lab. machines at their garages, instead they try the typical approach of getting high scores as a ticket to scholarship. And while in there, look for positions & grants, instead of producing real value. We need more like him!

  • @reapfreak

Free market retard, nothing to see here folks.

  • @reapfreak without almost
