  • @mikk3gzr3 Most of it is just a myth, only steroids or any other supplements may stun your growth, and FYI whatever your teacher said is kinda BS since there has been no proven theory that actually working out stuns your growth, and ironically it may also help increase it.

If anything you will grown more during the teenage years if you do these exercises in particular because the release more testosterone. the only way to 'stop growing' if if the teenager abususes anabolic steroids, which you should only use, if at all, after your 21 years of age, because they close the growth plates in bones prematurely.

  • @mikk3gzr3 It can stunt growth a little but so can coffee... don't worry about it. In my heighschool we have a weights(weightlifting) class that is manditory to take either that or P.E. so OBVIOUSLY it can't be that horrible for you. If you're like 12, then yeah worry about it becuase you've still got a long way to go. But i'm 16 and 6 foot 1 inch, i'm not gonna be to worried if my growing stops here.

  • @mikk3gzr3 That is one of the biggesty myths that has been mentioned alongside weightlifting... there's no way that lifting heavy weights could in any way induce a stunt in you growth, because that would mean that weight lifting would actually ALTER YOUR GENETICS, which is impossible. For your biology teacher to say that... well let's say it makes me worried. Injuries, yes, that is a big possibility and hence people doesn't want young people to lift weights, cause they don't really

  • @mikk3gzr3 know what they are doing. I don't even know why this myth came alive... It might be because teens lifted weights without knowledge of how and injured themselves gravely in the process. Well, my advice is to think about it for yourself. I'm studying to become an engineer. Anatomy, biology and chemistry is my field of expertise. I can't however prove this to you in any way.   • This guy is no expert. The fact that he neglected to mention quadratus lumborum as one of the core muscles indicates that he is just another run of the mill trainer. I've been in the industry for 20 years, and I see people like this guy every day. He's in decent shape, and he knows more than the average person, but he's no "expert".

  • @UdayBhargav1 The reason I don't do that is because I'm very busy, and I don't work for free. This person in the video seems like a nice guy, and again, he's in good shape. The problem is that he is off base on some things and doesn't seem to have a complete understanding of kinesiology. He is no "expert". An expert doesn't make these type of errors and omissions. Look at books written by people with degrees in exercise physiology. They're not free, like this guy, but you get what you pay for!

  • Deadlifts are the best exercise for building the back muscles??? That's ridiculous. Ever hear of "chin-ups" or "barbell rows"? Those exercises are two of the best exercises for working the upper back. Also, why no mention of quadratus lumborum? You mention the "core", but only refer to the abs and lower back. The quadratus lumborum is the most important of the core muscles. Core muscles help keep your spine in proper alignment, and quadratus lumborum is the only one that attaches to the spine.

  • Superb advice, and to anyone reading this don't forget to crank music whilst you work out, it is a fact that listening to music whilst working out helps you keep going for longer and with most people, the working out time will be increased by at least 70%. The longer you pump, the shorter the path to mesmerising muscles.

  • How do you gain muscle when your a teenager who does not have access weights? Because I'm 15 and here in Australia, they do not allow under 16's to go to the gym. If you guys tell me to just keep eating, I'm going to get fatter because my metabolism is just average not super. I have subcutaneous fat on my abs but not too much and I'm not too thin and not too big so I do HIIT workouts instead 3 times a week up to 2x a day.

  • @kingepiccheeseface Well here around Sydney that's the law kind of. I do have 10kg dumbbells on each hand, but in just over a 2 months my muscles got used to them already. I didn't experience much pain anymore. I heard that in order to grow muscles, you need to mix up your workouts, in support with fairly heavy weights so I need to go to a gym.

  • @ABCba5tard push-ups (do variations on these: shoulder width, diamond, wide arm), pull-ups and chin-ups, crunches (including reverse, bicycles are good too). Equally as important, maintain a consistent cardio routine including jogging, doing sprint sets, etc. Cardio will cut the excess fat throughout your entire body and keep you lean and defined. You don't need a gym membership or dead weights to stay fit.

  • I have a question about my back. My upper back is fairly defined and looks great in my opinion, but its looks really awkward, especially when it comes to lower back. Its like my lats go down to a point, then shoot inward completely stopping, then after that point my lower back looks like a little child's. My front side is fine even though my hips protrude alot there, but that isnt as bad. My lower back also looks defined, it just has absolutely no thickness. Genes are genes, but i want it thick
