Love the positives that you point out. A note to put in here is that The Lone Peak is not meant to be a minimalist shoe. This is a protective shoes compared to a Masochist or Cascadia. You will really be excited when our lightweight trail shoe comes out this summer.
@AltraZeroDrop Hi - definitely looking forward to your lightweight shoe. I made a video on what would be my ideal if someone would make one like this: f-8NMFAUAuE - paste that into the video search and it should come up. I don't seem to be able to post a link in a comment. You have the perfect forefoot, Inov8 has the perfect heel, midsole and tread. Looking forward to your next shoe! Thanks!
@bradtube1 I watched you X-Talon video. I agree with the heel. The heel of the LP is a little wider than we would have liked (working on that). As for tread, we find that the soccer cleat affect that inov8 uses is not very conducive of the terrain that we have up here in the Wasatch and Rocky mountains. It is great on soft dirt and British Isle type terrain, but not as good on rocky terrain. That is why we went with more of a Cascadia type lug system in The LP. Hope to give more variety in futur
Believe it or not, I love my Crocs Linden Boot for running and getting the feel of barefoot running, and it has enough ankle protection to limit side to side rolling. I know it doesnt look like it would be an effective runner, but they work fine, plenty of toe room and just enough cush. I could walk 50 miles in them, no problem. They run about a half size small though, so order up if you do want to try it. Thanks for this vid, I almost bought a pair before seeing this!
@traderjoes that is very interesting - i am going to have to check those out. i have a pair of Nike Long Ball Lace "shoes" which I've tried to run in but they have zero cushion but look something like those Croc's. I can't post of pic of the Nike's but search for Nike Long Ball Lace and you'll see pics. They look something like the crocs ... :-) thanks for the info!

@bradtube1 that string doesn't work. I'll post my video on the X-Talon 212 as a video response to this video. So - look for it there.
