  • Nope...Chuck Testa

  • Was a great vid & ride right up to the problem... Thumbs up was for the ride prior to the problem, not for the problem. :)

  • They just found another hot rod motorcyclist last weekend all wrapped up around a tree dead. Back in the 70's and 80's we had bumper stickers in town here 'pray for me i drive highway33'

  • try not to be a stuntman and put a large fireckracker on ur bike while riding it

  • alot of people die on that mountain and alot of people take there cars off of it to collect money i live there and i love the drive specially when ur doing 90 up it

  • Thats why I dont ride like that any more, my friend ant, died there..

  • I was just walking along the road when I saw a motorcyclist drive off the cliff. I ran over and realized it was a straight drop down thousands of feet! I thought he was dead for sure but then I heard a rustle in a tree... He landed in a tree 50 yards down. I pulled him up the road to safety but guess what... there was NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION UP THERE! -to be continued....

  • Luckily an off duty paramedic drove by... So I saved this guy's life and he must have been out of it or his pride hurt because he never even said thank you for my efforts... but as the fire captain was pulling away, he said I was the real hero of the day so that made up for it...haha how often does a fireman captain call you a hero? I mean - they're heroes all day long... but sheet- I'll take that compliment .... haha Check out my latest amazing crash videos if u like bro.-Mike

  • I love that drive, on the way to Lockwood valley and Camp Three Falls

  • Nice ride hope you and your bike are ok =O! I Just had my first slide =(!!! dont take sharp corners on a wet road ;O!!! have fun be Safe!

  • hehe all good here thanks :)

  • That's a great ride, but accidents are frequent. My video on Ojai shows some poor guy getting his bike pulled out after he went over. Cops are everywhere but doesn't seem to matter.

  • thats the 33 or 150. 33 isnt oaji it is maricopa or un charted.

  • way back from santa barrbra?

  • huh?

  • @copywrite500 ya it looks like that

  • i've driven that road a 100 times. some of the drops offs are long and unforgiving. there may still be wrecks at the bottom of gullies from decades ago that no one bothered to pull out.

  • I wish you guys who ride these bikes rode them with the safety of others and yourselves in mind. I have seen what happened to someone going too fast on one of these. It wasn't pretty.

  • I agree.

  • it seems you adjusted your speed well before the turn then somehow you gave up looking deep through the turn? glad you're OK.

  • I crashed the same way near the top (whre you rested) coming down. Not leaning enough and looking at what I am hitting than where I had to go. Got some knee stiches but fine otherwise. Keep biking

  • Toretire: thanks...

  • That's what happened. moment of inattention. Thanks

  • i live in ojai and thats a terrible highway anything can happen hope everythings good!!!

  • Terrible highway? no way! :) 33 rocks! I just screwed up...

  • lol, I´ve had worse on foot crashes

  • I live in ojai too... damn, that rode is scary

  • i had a buddy go down going a buck 5 in that canyon

  • Hope he is fine...

  • DOH! Man, that is a hairy lookin crash! Glad to hear that you and the bike were OK.

  • Thanks man... the bike is better than ever :) new look and all hehe

  • Holy Shit dude! The title said bad ending and I thought you dropped the cam. Cool that everything turned out cool with you and the bike would never had know by the video. Totally looks like you would have been in worse shape.

  • Thanks.

  • Damn bike did flip over as you said. I did the same thing, but on my dirtbike :D

  • landed on its nose (headlight) flipped up... so it rolled down from the front, onto the handlebar and seat cowl.

The bellypan got ripped when going up the mount at the end.

The rest of the bike was pretty much saved thanks to that lol

    cheers

  • At 6.25 i was like give it gas and lean David. For me looks like you shifted down to low(or not enough throttle in the turn and front went straight) If you had leaned it looks to me that you'd had made it. The guy in front of you took the turn easy. Seeing this makes me want to go to the track where the turns are wide so you can sometime run wide and learn that way. Hope you get your bike back on road soon.

  • 100% agreed. That turn was nothing special... it wasn`t even about the turn, I just spaced out for half a sec and it cost me a headlight. Oh well, its done and I am very lucky about the outcome (compared to what it could have been). Track day coming soon here, I think it`ll be good for me :)

  • i'll buy the wreck for a dollar.... :-)

  • lol magseal! so you`re really whisperquiet right??? lol

Believe it or not, seatcowl, bellypan and headlight are the only broken pieces :) The rest of the bike is pretty much intact... don`t ask, I have no idea how I manage that, but I am stoked :D

  • my lips are sealed :-)

sorry about your latest dumping, i somehow think you do it on purpose because you tire of the mods and see something much better on the market and need an excuse to upgrade :-))

  • shhhhhh :D

  • D!!!

    Glad you're ok brother!

    C

  • Wassup bro! its been a while :) Bike will be back together soon... find a ride close to a cliff and I am in!

  • damm wavex....not again!!!

you must be rich and have a forgiving wife.

  • Not really rich, but correct on the wife! :)

Hey at least I ride my bike hard! lol maybe a little too hard for my skill level, but hey....

  • What was the outcome? Haw bad were you and the bike mangled?

  • I have no idea how, but I did not have a scratch on me... and the bike is 100% OK except for the seatcowl, bellypan and headlight (basically plastic only). I actually rode it home a few minutes after the crash. I was really lucky overall, especially considering the 500+ cliff that was a few feet away to the right... Anyway, the new headlight was ordered today and the bike should be back on the road within 2 weeks.

  • That'll buff right out

  • Surprisingly it will!
