  • One cannot criticize a move like c5 by Kasparov, but seems Qh4+ was also winning convincingly!

  • b4 !!! amazing !

  • u annotated this game twice :p

  • It's difficult to appreciate how spoilt we were during the 80s and early 90s to have 2 great chess rivals of the magnitude of talent of Karpov and Kasparov. I remember the mid 80s when Kasparov won but during the slog out of draws admitted he was close to exhaustion! Unfortunately at the time I was'nt old enough to appreciate the moves.

  • In every move Kasparov seems to see 10 moves ahead is several possible continuations... Incredible stuff...

  • great. one of my favorites games. thanks.

  • what program do you use to demonstrate

  • you already commented that game in another vid xD

  • 7:07 = karpov decides midgame he wants to play some fischerandom chess...

  • This guy sounds like he just witnessed a miracle. xD

  • I never really cared much about chess, not that i hated it, just never paid it much interest. However, your analyzation of the games, provide me with a much needed deepened understanding of the game...

Very well done indeed, and meant in the least gay way possible, you how a very soothing and comfortable voice:)

  • to fast for me to keep up :(

  • lol "kasparov threw the kitchen sink at karpov" ROFL your videos are really instructive kingscrusher keep up the good work

  • Kingcrusher another interesting and helpful video. Really enjoyed it................keep them coming!

  • It's amazing how all of Karpov's pieces are on the first rank at 7:07. I've never seen that kind of position from such a great player that many moves in and with that many pieces left on the board. He was truly dominated.

  • What a great game to analyze. Kasparov is one of the most exciting chess players to analyze. Big sacrifices and constant pressure. Karpov plays more mechanical. I'm also really impressed with those rybka lines that you came up with. I've been using chessmaster 10, its extremely boring. Incremental advantages in ever position, extremely mechanical. Rybka seemed to show more personality in those lines. I guess I'll have to go out and buy it. Cheers.

  • @AnthonyTheSage How a computer could show more "personnality" ?! You dont have to pay for having Rybka, you just have to download it on internet : it is a searching engine who guess the best line (not a software like Chessmaster or Fritz) --> it is free .

  • c5?? There ist no white pawn possible to move to c5.

But I'm also asking me if there isn't a better defence against

    Kasparows 14. , b4 than the 15. Nb1 Karpov played here. For example what's about 15. Na4, keeping the black Ra8 away.

  • could someone please explain to me at 3:45 why white can't reply to black's b5 with c5?

  • amazing, keep them coming!!!!!!!

  • hey just letting you know in this video you say the 11th round when in the description it says round 10

  • i see you clearly favour Kasparov because i saw a lot of games from you where Kasparov sinks Karpov but none viceverse but let's remember that Karpov has nearly equal score against Kasparov. For example,Korchoi has about 1-20 in favour of Kasparov.

  • Wasn't this whichcraft from Kasparov! His Bishop remains stuck on c8 for most of the game, white has more space etc but is crushed. b5!! what a move.

  • great walk throught. thanks for sharing these with us!

  • beautiful game, thanks again kingscrusher

  • wow, love you

  • Amazing game

  • Brilliant!

  • What does "in pre" mean?

  • under attack (can be taken the next move).

I'm not sure that's how it's spelled either... sounds more frenchish to me.

  • En prie, i believe.

  • its en prise

  • 'en pris'. French, if I am not mistaken. Means 'im Schlag' in German or 'ready to be taken' in English.

  • So many brilliant plays in tandem. Great game and comentary.
