  • I think the max for a regular engine is around 12 to 15 degrees. The engines used on machines that operate at an angle above that are specially designed. I've got a Bad Boy Lightning with a 26 hp liquid cooled Kawasaki on it and those engines are about 2300.00 each so I'd be careful if I were you and make sure you operate within the limits.

  • Better check the slope angle and make sure you're not operating on an angle that makes it impossible for the engine to be oiled properly. That could be a costly little mow job!

  • @StanWilhite I hadn't thought of that, it's a good point. I mow a lot on slopes. Do manufacturers make the engines to oil properly when at this sort of angle ? I hope so.
